Took a side trip to Sheboygan to visit the Kohler Gallery. Fascinating! Do not miss this. The designs and tile are incredible. This is by donation. No admission cost. They also have a room where any person of any age can spend as long as they like designing art projects. I painted shopping bags for museum purchases at an upcoming... More

I LOVE visiting the Kohler Arts Center whenever I get a chance during my many trips to Sheboygan. On this particular visit, students from a local high school program were performing and demonstrating projects they had explored and researched that culminated in an art experience. Through dance and song and video and painting (and much more), students shared what they... More

We passed a few hours here which was great! I don't normally like museums or art but this was so interesting! Really loved the painted bathrooms too!

My niece got married here. We had an out door wedding, with the front wall of the old Library as a backdrop. The reception space was great. My young son enjoyed walking around looking at the art.

The Kohler Arts Center features a special exhibit, arts/INDUSTRY, through August 31. It exhibits the work of artists who were in residence at the Kohler plumbingware factory during the past 40 years. The 350 works use the materials and processes used to manufacture plumbing fixtures and hardware, with wonderfully creative results. You can combine a visit to the Arts Center... More

This is a great gallery in which you can see huge installations and some small pieces, a great variety of old and modern art as you stroll through the center. The bathrooms are a work of art with hand painted tiles, and more, including the toilets themselves. Only in an art center with the name of Kohler could bathrooms be... More

A free museum (donations accepted) that held our interest. The decorated bathrooms and monkey army were worth the stop. Easy to find and free parking. Quite different.

This museum is a treasure for the local community. It's amazing that the Kohler family had the willingness to give such a gift to Sheboygan. Their focus on outsider art and environments shows their foresight and willingness to embrace new types of work. No trip up to Wisconsin should be without a visit here.

This is a delightful, sometimes whimsical gallery full of some of the coolest modern art you will see anywhere. The bathrooms are worth a visit alone but the whole gallery is great. We drove up from Milwaukee not sure what to expect and were so pleasantly surprised. We also had a very good fresh lunch in their cafe.

This is an amazing collection of artwork from the Kohler collaborations with artists. It is loaded with contemporary pottery and 3D artwork. Leave yourself at least an hour or two to browse and enjoy the experience. As mentioned in other reviews, see all the bathrooms because they are works of art too.
