We took a day trip this summer and visited this uniquely beautiful state park on the shore Lake Michigan. It is about 2 hours from Madison. Great hiking on the winding boardwalks walks along the sandy dunes. These hiking paths provide great views of Lake Michigan. There is also a short hike you can take on a boardwalk out into... More

Nice place, make sure you read site size, when it says 27 feet, they mean 27 feet. Some sites big and sunny but some small and shady. Still a great place to stay, family friendly and they enforce the quiet time almost a little too much when we can't even have a radio on to listen to a ballgame. But... More

Usually stay at this State Park over the July fourth holiday week. Big, big sites. Clean bath facilities. Lots of things to do in the park itself. Arguably the best of Wisconsins State Parks

When we want to get away from the maddening crowds, we drive over to this lovely state park. K-ASP is a pristine, quite and somewhat secluded park right on Lake Michigan. It's about an hour away from Milwaukee, with a quick, ride to all that Sheboygan and Kohler has to offer. There is a small but quiet , forest protected camping... More

We visited a friend who invited us for a night to their camp. Pretty. The site was off set from the winding road. Neighbors were staggered so it was private. Steel fire pit with a grate and wood was available for sale at the main gate entry. Rest rooms were decent. The weather radio could be overheard in the shower.... More

The park has beautifully groomed trails, a boardwalk, and several different pathways to hike. The sand dunes are fun. The camping sites are great and there's plenty of room on the sites compared to other places.

This was our first time here. We camped and stayed four nights in our camper. The campground far exceeded our expectations! We loved that the camper/rv sites weren't all lined up in a row, like you usually find. We were at site 95 and it had a big field on one side, which was a great place for the kids... More

Just had a great solo trip - i was nervous about it but felt very safe here. This park has beautiful trails and it was great to watch the sunrise over the lake and the sunset over the marsh - all very close by. The lake ain't for swimming - unless you're used to arctic temps. But pretty area. Showers... More

I recently had a spare morning when I was in the area for a wedding and took off with my daughter for this park. We were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the park was and the various activities available. The beach is gorgeous, they have many well maintained trails including over marsh land and dunes. I didn't have time to... More
