Nice state park for just a drive or to wonder the beach. They have a good nature center to explore. Great walks on the beach.

Two and a half miles of sandy Lake Michigan shoreline is reason enough to come explore this 1100 acre park! A nature center packed with info, special programs, clean, private camping, hiking, biking and great staff. Come for a day or stay for a week. Plenty to do!

When I was a child, my family camped at Kohler-Andre State Park and it was always an adventure, whether hiking the trails, exploring the woods or swimming in the lake. Although I don't camp anymore, I still go there to walk. There is a boardwalk that goes through the dunes and its a nice hike but be sure to bring... More

We hiked every trail in the parks and all were very nice. You can hike in woods, in a marsh, on the sand dunes and the beach. I do not think I have been anywhere that had such a variety of landscapes. Some of the camp sites can be a little weird. Ours was nothing more than a pull off... More

A very fragile and beautiful environment in which you might view cranes, deer, songbirds, 13 striped ground squirrels that are fat and cute. This is a very special spot and well worth the journey from wherever but you'd better be prepared to move fast and not stop while hiking in order to avoid having all the blood sucked out of your... We arent totally out of towners, but wanted something to do on a day off. We wanted to take our dogs as well. It was so much fun, made us feel one with nature and like we were exploring uncharted territory. Lake Michigan was a little cool but the dogs didn't mind. They are allowed on the north beach I... Our friends' large RV was accomodated nicely at spot #86 at Kohler Terry-Andrae State Park campground. We two couples appreciated the cleanliness of this park and its proximity to beautiful Lake Michigan. While there for 4 days we hiked the 2.0 mile corded trail which wound among the grassy sand dunes along the lake. Wildlife spotted included racoon, turkey, deer,... More

My best buddies and I would bike to what used to be known as Terry Andrae park.. fifty years ago..and having visited the park last year , I am so pleased to see it is still as untouched as any beach park could be these days. Still on a weekday in summer you could find yourself among the only people... More

Great beaches, pristine dunes, camping and wildlife. See deer up close. Sandhill cranes. We bicycle to Kohler-Andre in the summer for a great non-denominational church service on Sundays.
