Bookworm Gardens is a great place to visit for both children and adults. My 2 & 4 year old were thoroughly entertained exploring for a good 2 hours, probably longer had we not had to leave for dinner. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Gorgeous plants and flowers meticulously and generously arranged around the whole property. Very whimsical and charming. Admission is... More

This was a really neat place and it was fun seeing all the children having a good time. The gardens are well taken care of and quite beautiful. the best part is the price, it is free.

I am sad because I was very impressed with the Bookworm Gardens but was very put off by the way the volunteers talked to me and my family while there. We had just sat down to eat in the amphitheater and a volunteer bringing in a YMCA group asked me to move after I had just gotten everything out of... More

there are a lot of hands-on activities for kids of all ages. It is neat to see all the different themes from popular childrens' stories. Definitely worth going to.

What a charming surprise! This series of gardens on the UW-Sheboygan Campus is dedicated to children and children's literature. There are so many representations, from Stuart Little's house to the Little House and Winnie the Pooh's house. The gardens are lovely and it's a nice way to spend a summer afternoon. There are boxes with books in them for reading... More

After reading the reviews online, we decided to take our three children there while in town. It was one of the most talked about stops on our trip. The kids loved talking about the books whose scenes were depicted in the displays. Even without kids, this is a great stop. It's a perfect spot for some picture taking.

Bookworm Gardens is a gem in Sheboygan for families with kids of all ages. The gardens are beautiful, and the grounds are very well maintained. Each of the areas has a theme, and there are books in cool boxes for kids to read. We brought a picnic lunch, and sat outside to read books while we ate. I would highly... More

This place is an absolute must to families. The imagination and thought that were invested in this place are showing and it is also excellently maintained. There is no entrance fee (that right, it's free!). When we got there it was busy, but there were very few bottle necks and most of the time we could not feel the crowds.... More

This is the real deal. Kids 10 and under will really enjoy this. We have an 8 1/2, 6 and 3 year old. They had big fun. Allow 1 1/2 to 2 hours to do it right. Grandparents, this is a great spot to spend time with your grand kids. I saw lots of that today. Believe the hype. Seriously,... More

Visited over this last weekend. Recommended by a coworker and I'm so glad we made the extra trip! What a fun place for kids and adults! It seemed like there was a little surprise at every corner. I loved the raised gazebo/treehouse. I have a 5-year-old and a one year old. The older one loved the little houses and interactive... More
