Fascinating. An absolutely incredible experience! We had a great time at the show and then went outside that night to find the constellations we learned about! The northern Wisconsin night sky is a welcome escape from all of the light pollution surrounding the bigger cities. I could appreciate the night sky so much more after the show at the Kovac... More

There isn't much else that I can say - see all of the positive reviews!! We really enjoyed our show - it's amazing on many levels. The show was really good; however, observing Frank's passion is also an amazing experience! Part of the show was also learning about how he created his planetarium - and that's also a really engrossing... More

If you are in the Northwoods, this place is a must. It is located on Hwy. 8 between Rhinelander and Crandon. The owner hand painted all the stars and it is one of the best planetariums i have been in. Much better than any of the digitally projected ones. I highly recommend a visit.

You'll be in awe of what one man with a dream can do. Built from the ground up, every single star hand-painted to it's exact location, you won't be sorry. You can feel Frank's enthusiasm throughout his presentation. Well worth your time and very affordable.

Kovac's Planetarium is run by the guy who single-handedly built the planetarium. It is the world's largest rotating planetarium (or something like that). The presentation/show is fascinating. He provides you with a cushion so your butt/back doesn't get sore from sitting through the show. And the laser show at the end was fun for our kiddos. Definitely worth a visit!... More

Take the kids and your self and learn and enjoy the night sky and the stars. Sit and learn as the sky turns.

My husband had been to this planetarium before and was excited for me to experience it. We went there and I was blown away by the amount of work and dedication that was shown in the building. I also was thrilled by the information that was given to us by the owner. It was a great show, very interesting and... More

Took my grandson to visit when he was visiting from Florida. He was 6 years old and absolutely loved it. Very educational and the owner gave grandson personal attention.. Would highly recommend!
