Great place to take young children

We took my granddaughter and A nephew. Thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. Handled birds, fed the giraffe, and took the cute train ride around the park. Just the right size so you... read more

This is a nice zoo to have a picnic at. It needs more animals. At one time this was a free attraction. Which was great. But they charge now. Prices are to high for what is there. At Christmas they have wonderful lighting on the fences that's nice to see.

Small enough to walk around comfortably. Petting zoo. Aviary. Several play areas. Lovely setting on Lake Michigan. There are bigger and grander zoos in the world, but this is the perfect one for younger children. And fun for everyone. The Monday night specials for member and children are a new and very good idea. Our 5 year old loved being... More

Absolutely fun day at the Racine Zoo any time of the year. The juvenile lions were a great show to watch as well as the gibbons. Gift shop is well stocked for Christmas and offered great value also. I have a Family plus membership which is also a great gift that keeps giving year round. Full disclosure: I serve as... More

This zoo is very small and when I visited on a weekday morning I think I was the only person there. There was very little presence of staff. I was able to see some animals, as other reviewers have said they seem kind of sad/cramped, even though the zoo itself is pretty big and filled with long, confusing paths. The... More

MUCH better and more than expected for a local, small city zoo. I'm sure that any donations are greatly appreciated and know that their budget/spending is sound. I've been a resident of the area since 1981.

The animals here are fun to see, there is a good variety. The size is just right for a half day. The playground is great. Feeding the birds was neat and the goats are friendly. Also close to the acclaimed North Beach.

Sad, Took my granddaughter and was sad by the lack of animals and how unhealthy they look. The bear looked like it was going to die any day. The zoo was soon much better when it was free. Not impressed so save the bucks.

A small zoo located in a residential area along Racine's north shore. Inexpensive and easy to walk in a couple hours. Not many animals...a lot of them look old and tired. The tiger recently died, leaving an unused enclosure. Not many visitors either ( mid-week, late September ), which is nice for getting closer to the animals, many of which... More
