Passing through Racine, we decided to stop at the zoo not expecting much and boy were we surprised! Our favorite zoo attraction was The Aviary, where beautiful canaries fly around you and feed right from your hand (food sticks are available for $2.00). It's not scary at all, despite my kids initial reservations. They also liked the petting area a... More

What a great little place to take kids! You can walk around the whole zoo in a couple hours, complete with a playground, picnic area and fun animals. Don't forget to take a walk down to the Zoo beach just outside of it, lovely area for a walk.

The Racine Zoo is located next to Lake Michigan. The setting is park-like - there's plenty of area to sit and enjoy. A nice variety of animals are awaiting your visit. There is a play area for children located in the center, if your children need to blow off some steam. It is a very pleasant way to enjoy a... More

Small zoo, but beautiful location, awesome kids play areas and a great joey area to see kangaroos. If you have time take a trip to the zoo, especially with little kids.

This is a very nice small zoo. The setup flows well and it's inexpensive. We were there around noon and all the animals were out except the bears. It only takes a couple of hours to go through so it was perfect for us to get back on the road quickly.

We have gone to the Racine Zoo once a year for several years now. We visited this year with two 9 year old girls and a 10 year old boy. Our favorite events are feeding the giraffe's at 11am ($4pp), feeding the camels at 11:30 ($4pp) and then we walked over to the bird feeding area. They have a relatively... More

This zoo is smaller than most, but such a nice place. It's along the lake shore with beautiful views. The animals were nice, and lots of interactive things to do with kids. There are some really nice park areas, and you can pet goats and sheep and birds that will come and fly to your hand. It was a very... More

I have been to the zoo many, many times and do like it. For someone who is local and will likely visit more than once, I would recommend a membership as it is affordable and comes with animal encounter tickets foe aviary and giraffe feedings. The zoo is clean, the animals seem well taken care of and the zoo is... More
