I was on a group tour and stopped at the Johnson HQ for a tour of the Administration Building and the newly opened Research Tower. Photos outside the buildings are allowed, but not inside. The Administration Building is architecturally interesting for its innovative columns and coordination of space, color, and furniture - all designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Two floors... More

had ordered the free tickets months ago - put together a great group of friends for the tour....everyone enjoyed the tour!!!! Now we all want to do the Wingspread & have secured date of November 15th for that. It is great to view the research tower & read some of the communications regarding the building process. Even if you are... More

My wife and I visited the S.C. Johnson company complex in Racine, WI, in August 2014. We had previously toured the company's administration building designed by Frank Lloyd Wright but took this opportunity to visit the newly-opened Research tower, also designed by Wright. While we only were able to visit a couple of floors of the tower, that provided us... More

The views are spectacular. The architecture is incredible. The only negative ... No Photos Allowed. You also are constantly being shadowed by security. Every step you take, every move you make, they'll be watching you.

I don't really know much about Frank Lloyd Wright or the SC Johnson company. After this tour, I want to know more about both. You have to make reservations- I did so online- and show up at the scheduled time- they won't wait for you. Our guide was Tricia. There is a lot to see and she did a nice... More

The tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright designed buildings in the 30's is amazing. The main office building is exquisite with the Lily pad like columns holding up the roof and the Pyrex glass tubing that reflect the outdoor light make it unique. The former research tower is open now and you can visit where many products were invented.

While Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture is iconic and innovative, the tour of the S.C. Johnson campus indicates his work was less than practical e.g. a 15 story research tower with only one very narrow stairway and an innovative exterior wall system that leaked wind and rain and could be destroyed by hail! The Sir Norman Foster designed Fortaleza Hall is... More

A 2 hour tour to be had by prior reservation. Well organized and very interesting. The Frank Lloyd Wright designed research tower is now included in the tour and one gets to see the 3rd floor and the mezzanine above it, accessed by 35 steps. The administration building is still being used for its original purpose and quite contemporary about... More

Wish we had more time to explore. The tour covers a lot of ground in just two hours. Our guide was very good but we did feel rushed as we had a schedule to keep. Loved the personal stories about the office chairs :-)

What a brilliant masterpiece from the greatest American architect. I am a huge Wright fan, but photos don't do this building justice. Be sure to book your tour in advance as it was booked several months before we visited. There are some restrictions with accessibility due to it being a working building, but this adds to the experience knowing his... More
