Our family of four took this tour and had a nice time. Two hours was a little too long for our 11 year old daughter but she was fine. We enjoyed seeing Bald Eagles and deer. The captains are friendly and informative.

I agree with the 2011 reviewer. The Operators are very nice but offer very little detailed Eco information; just a pleasant ride on the river. The majority of the boat is enclosed while other boats in the area have open boats that allow the passengers to enjoy the breezes, fragrances, and the many birds singing on shore. Plus, it is... We enjoyed the 2:00 trip on the 4th of July. It was educational and interesting as we learned about the Mississippi and its wildlife. We were able to spot a few Bald Eagles, but because of the heat and the amount of boat traffic (pleasure boats) other creatures were hiding! This trip is very reasonable for 2 hours. We were... Thr boat ride is scenic and we saw a few birds and a beaver dam. The crew was nice enough, but the narrative was boring and could have been more thorough. The drive there was more interesting. I saw a woman sleeping. ...Nice ride, but disappointing as far as a tour goes.

I had no plans to do a cruise, but, there happened to be one last cruise of the day and why not! It was my first time on the river and what a treat! I learned a lot about the history of the river and saw deer with fawns, beaver, muskrat, a variety of birds and an eagles nest! Also... More

The two hour boat tour down Mississippi River very scenic and relaxing. The guide is very knowledgeable about the history and the conditions of the the river, and would point out plants and wildlife alike as we pass them.

I was part of a Road Scholar group touring the upper Mississippi River area and a four hour cruise on the Explorer was part of our tour program in early October. Our group of about 42 adults had the boat to ourselves. It was a great experience for all. The boat has both inside and outside seating, although most of... More

A nice way to spend a few hours enjoying the fall foliage while learning about the history and wildlife in the area. Chris wa a a very knowledgeable guide. The boat was no where near capacity and you can bring your own snacks and drinks which was nice.we enjoy it.

We took the sunset wildlife cruise and had a great time. It was early October, beautiful, clear, sunny late afternoon. The colors were gorgeous and we saw lots of wildlife. The crew was very knowledgeable and we saw eagles, their nests, turtles, beavers, blue herons and just beautiful scenery.

What you see varies by the time of year. We went in the fall and saw fall foliage and wildlife... eagle nests, eagles flying, beaver abodes and plenty of river turtles. Very friendly and knowledgeable boat crew. Fun for kids.
