I woudln't have gone here if it werent included in a combo pass we got that included cave of the mounds, house on the rock and little norway. It's an interesting look at the history of Norwegians in central Wisconsin and their lifestyle in the 1800s.

i spoke with people in Mt. Horeb and at Cave of the Mounds, and Little Norway is definitely closed. The house originally came from a town in Norway and is actually being sent back there as it is part of that town in Norway's history. I think that is pretty cool, but it is also an indication that this place... More

I heard it was closed, but if not. Its an interesting place to go. Our daughter worked there during high school as a guide and had many visits there while the family was growing up. Price went up a bit high but it is a nice attraction.

Sadly this place may be closed forever. We drove by on way to Cave of the Mounds. Sign said "Closed". Local rumors say may not ever open. Other rumors say maybe next year.

I gave this an excellent review because it was a wonderful place. However, It is now closed. If you want to see some of the artifacts from this site, many of the items have been acquired by the Mount Horeb Area Historical Society in downtown Mount Horeb.

24 September 2014 - Scott Winner decided to shut down Little Norway due to financial constraints. The buildings are up for sale and all the artifacts have been sold or donated. Artifacts have been donated to the Mount Horeb Area Museum, the Stoughton Norwegian Heritage Center, and the Museum of Wisconsin Art in West Bend. Hopefully, the Stave Church will... More

Just called since I thought this might be a nice stop after visiting Cave of the Mounds. Gentleman who answered answered with the greeting "Little Norway." Then after mentioning some of these reviews, he confirmed they are closed indefinitely.

We were looking forward to visiting this but it had a sign "Closed for the 2013 Season." The pictures of its attractions seemed most interesting since we have been to Norway and were anticipating seeing them.

Make sure you check to see if Little Norway is still operating. I think they went out of business sometime in the late summer of 2013.

It was interesting to see the houses and there is some history but my 12 and 13 yr olds were DONE after about 10 min. It is pretty and little ones would like to run around the grassy area. Maybe a good trip for the extended family.
