We have been going to Lake Tomahawk for 25 years, and we have certainly seen it change. It is nice to be there because it is much less busy than surrounding towns which see quite large influxes of people on the weekends. It is the perfect size to relax and get to know people, but it still has everything you... More

Don't be confused by the name of the lake and the town. The town is small, the lake is large for a lake in Wisconsin.

We stayed at the Indian Shores RV resort on Lake Tomahawk for a week and enjoyed every minute of it. We made a point of reserving a boat for the day to explore the chain of lakes - Tomahawk Lake/Mid Lake/Minocqua Lake. The marina at the resort was great and their service was excellent. In fact it was one of... More

If you are traveling through Lake Tomahawk you have to stop by the Lake Tomahawk Meat Market. The selection is fantastic. We picked up some of their smoked ham lunch meat - the best I have ever had. Also tried the Chicken, mushroom, wild rice brats - delicious. They also have a large selection of jerkys and smoked beef sticks.

Was a more interesting destination when THE BRICK restaurant was there. The snowshoe baseball is a unique entertainment adventure and the few shops on the main road look interesting. I have heard there is a gallery that is worth a look for unique art items and local artisan creations

Have been "summertime" people for years. Nothing beats the Lake Tomahawk Meat Market for the best meat in the entire area!!! It's like stepping back in time. You will never be disappointed in your purchase. Just remember - NO CREDIT CARDS - just cash and checks.

We have a place up here, and it is always a blast. The lakes are beautiful, the Wisconsin River is fun, we like to hop on innertubes and float it. It is a beautiful stretch without hardly any cabins. The restaurants and bars in town serve excellent food and they have Smiley service!

Sure, this town of about 300 year around residents seems like just a little "Blink and Miss" commmunity but, don't close your eyes to all there is to offer! From the outstanding food served in the local dining establishments to the beautiful lake, one of the finest in the Northwoods, Lake Tomahawk is a town you do not want to... More

Lake Tomahawk is a small town located in the North Woods of Wisconsin. The actual population is about 300 + but there are over 1,100 homes so about two thirds of the population are summer or part time residents only. The main street has about 20 different businesses, mostly bars and a couple of nice restaurants. They have two fish... More

It is easily the clearest lake I have ever seen in my life. I was disappointed I wasn't able to spend more time in the area. I will be back.
