Right on the Milwaukee river, next to the Lake, this neighborhood is full of converted warehouses. Great shopping, restaurants, river walk and charm. If you come to Milwaukee, take the time to walk this neighborhood. Cute and charming.
This area became a must go to in Milwauke based on the number of different restaurants, eclectic shopping, several small theaters, place for outdoor events during summer time, vocability.
cute and historic old third ward was charming and not that far of a walk(+- 1mile)...took a picture of the "fonzie" statue.....architecture was a great mix of old world and new world combined
I liked that there were so many shops in close walking distance and friendly people/entertainment. I disliked how hard it was to find good parking.
Lots of shopping, food and beverage outlets and cool lofts. Yoga, massage and cool Agency/techie people roaming around.
Love this part of Milwaukee though I must say parking is a hassle. I love all the hip stores around it and the old town feel. There's something for everyone. I also love the Public Market where you can buy deli and cheese to bring home.
We enjoyed the sights, smells, and busyness of the Public Market. We found great variety and there truly is something for everyone here. This restored historic district was bustling with activity even with chilly temperatures, but the parking is scarce and difficult to find. We also enjoyed Hudson's coffee shop, as it was a local take on an upscale Starbucks....

Like visiting Boston or parts of NYC. Lots of restaurants, and wonderful small shops...walking around fun. The PUBLIC MARKET is so much improved and the food was really good. The shows at Broadway Theater Center were marvelous and such a beautiful facility...bravo!
