My girls (15, 10) and I have spend several Saturday afternoons in the Historic Third Ward. We love getting a bite to eat then finding a picnic table down the center of the street, eating and people watching. There also many fantastic shops to check out along the way - from clothing, to jewelry, shoes, resale, and home goods. If... More

Can't remember where I ate but had been taken out by a local. The bar was busy and we had to wait for 20 minutes but spent the time with a beer from the local neighborhood. Food was great, large and filling definitely recommend going to hang out on a Friday night when the music is playing.

We followed the directions on the Milwaukee Public Market website for the detour from the west. (coming up 94 from IL). It worked fine. We parked in the market parking lot on Water St. andgot our parking ticket validated inside the market at a coffee place. There is metered parking on the streets in the 3rd ward also. Many shops... I love to walk down to this area whenever we're staying in one of the hotels downtown. It's so close to the Pfister or The Metro or The Hilton and several other hotels. They have some very nice high-end shopping stores like Anthropologie, but also a very neat second-hand resale store. Boutiques galore. Excellent luncheon restaurants. I love nothing more... More

We arrived here after spending the day at the museum. Or main goal was dinner so we ate at the ale house. by that time it was getting late so we didn't get to wander far. we were surprised at all the shops. We will definitely come back when we have more time to explore.

What a fun neighborhood to visit for a day or night. I have family that lives in the neighborhood. The variety of restaurants is appealing. The public food market is fun too - a lot of different vendors, all offering delicious foods, wines, beers, you name it. A good energetic vibe in the area. Lastly, there are numerous high-end boutique... More

We walked around the shops and restaurants. Shops were cute like the unique boutiques but there weren't many of them. Would have loved to see more.

Great architecture, food and cute shops. The city has done a great job gentrifying a worn down part of the city. The boar tours give tourists a great view of this neighborhood.

If you like old things, this is a very cute area to visit. It has so much old charm! We went at Thanksgiving and the lights were gorgeous for Christmas.
