Nice neighborhood

This is a great area - On street parking isn't too hard to find and there are many great stores and restaurants.

I remember going to the 3rd ward for an Italian festival in the 1950's. It was a predominately Italian area with many produce markets and I particularly remember the fireworks. Today, it is a blend of markets, shops and resturants., I loved the little wine bar, nice place to unwind. So near the lakefront, it is a perfect place to... More

It's a nice area to walk but there is not much to do, except eating, drinking and going to the public market

Was in Milwaukee in early November and experienced not only beautiful weather but also a great lunch on the rooftop of Benelux. This was my second visit to Benelux in two days and obviously I would recommend it to everyone. The Third Ward is such a fun place to dine and shop. Put it on your list to visit.

The Third Ward is a perfect example of how a city can restore an area and turn it into a fun place to explore! There are many interesting restaurants and shops, but The Market is the crown jewel of the area. I visited on a Saturday, and discovered wall-to-wall people of all age groups wandering through the market as well... More

I love hanging in the Third ward. Good coffee shops, good restaurants, good shopping and the public market is here. Its also on the river and usually easy parking. If you are in Milwaukee for a day and you are going to hang out downtown, go the third ward.

My husband and I walked here on a beautiful Sunday morning and it was very busy. Granted, it was late October and probably one of the last nice days of the year so it was to be expected, however, we had a difficult time getting into any restaurants without reservations. However, it made for a nice walk and we enjoyed... More

Some interesting shops, a good variety of places to dine and the Market was something of a treat, so many options, everything you could possibly want and more from a market.

Arrive early enough to visit the shops and artists stores. Once they close, head to many different options, including some on the river, for drinks, appetizers and dinner. Make sure to stop at the Market. May not sound like the place to be, but casually cool inside with a little bit of everything to offer.

My wife and I took a trip up to Milwaukee and totally embraced being tourists for the weekend. It was fantastic - and the Third Ward is clearly the place to be if you want to go to the hot bars and restaurants! Will be back soon!
