Though it can be pricey if you aren't careful picking restaurants and stores, the Third Ward is definitely my favorite part of Milwaukee. It has such a charm that keeps you wanting to explore. It's filled with restaurants that offer multiple types of cuisine and stores that will make a fashionista out of you. If you're visiting MKE (especially in... More

Historic location for a unique shopping experience. Area is filled with small shops, salons, bars and restaurants. Milwaukee Public Market is a must see. Wine bars are plentiful, walk around to shop or eat or see interesting artwork. Fun in summer or winter.

Milwaukee has come of age! The Third Ward is a DESTINATION! It is a wonderful combination of exciting restaurants, bars, lounges, markets with patio and rooftop dining. It is ALIVE with activity. For me it is like being in NYC without the flight! Try appetizers and drinks in the Milwaukee Public Market and then dinner at Cafe Benelux. You will... More

We visited in January and it was a tad cold for a leisurely stroll around. But there are plenty of restaurants and nice boutique shops. The Public Market is great with a slew of shops and eateries. Parking is pretty convenient.

We went to the Third Ward the day after a snowfall. The sidewalks were not cleared very well. In addition, it was the week between Christmas and New Year's, so several places were closed. Due to those two factors, I really think we need to give it another shot. We did visit a couple of art galleries. They are plentiful... More

Lots of different restaurants, shops and a nice area to walk, especially in the warmer seasons. The boutiques are not to be missed, from cashmere to blue jeans. The Public Market has many vendors, and we especially like the seafood.
