This part of Milwaukee is full of colorful history, so get yourself a walking tour guide and enjoy the past. Then sit at one of the many eateries and enjoy the present. One of my favorites is the Milwaukee Public Market for a $13.95 Lobster dinner done to perfection. Then stroll down to the buy some dessert at the chocolate... More

We love visiting milwaukee and always visit the Third Ward when in town. We love the Market but also the other restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques in this area. Check out their website for events and the comings/goings to the area. So much fun!

We were there during an art festival, so lots of people and things going on. The Farmers market is a must and the entire area is very interesting. Worth going, for sure!

I went here because all of the hype online. I arrived on a weekday at 10:00 a.m. and the Public Market was just waking up. We shopped a bit in the market and then partook of some seafood at St. Paul Fish Company. We were happy with the quality of the market, but found it to be quite small. I... More

Our friend from the Northwoods came down for a mid-winter break from this very very long winter this year. We decided to come visit a small section of the Third Ward while he was in town. Fortunately the snow was gone down here and Spring was in the air. (Not so much up North) We introduced him to a few... More

Cool area with lots of shops, restaurants and theaters. The Public Market is at one end of the Third Ward. Over Labor Day weekend they hold their Third Ward Art Fair, which added live musicians and some cart vendors. Because of not great weather, it wasn't too crowded, which suited us, but wasn't great for the vendors. Nice area to... More

The Third Ward is a great place to visit and even better place to live! There's shopping, a lot of great restaurants, a bit of history and always something going on.

Easy access around this section of the city and traffic/parking situations weren't a big problem in this area.

This neighborhood is right by the Milwaukee River with a delightful river walk. There are many shops and places to eat. My husband and I enjoyed just getting a flavor of the history in the area. We were there on a Sunday and parking was free and relatively easy to find but I imagine it could be quite hard to... More

Loved the Public Market, an Art Show was going on that weekend so the streets were blocked off for that, lots of interesting stores and places to eat.
