It's one of my favorite places to visit when I'm traveling to Milwaukee Wisconsin. Perfect for strolling around on a sunny day in the summer. Fantastic places to eat, galleries everywhere, and fun places to shop for unique gifts. Also great local theater places there if you are in the fix to see a great play!!

Third Ward is nice but it's sort of disney-ish! There are wonderful galleries that are fun to get lost in. Bay View has much more realness..

Years ago, this had become a seedy area and undesirable place to live. Thus, a lot of the historic buildings remained as a transformation began to take place. Today, old and new buildings co-exist well in a vibrant place of shopping, galleries, restaurants and bars, and urban residences, in an area along the Milwaukee Riverwalk and Summerfest grounds on the... The Third Ward has very interesting shops and eateries. The older buildings are used for a variety of purposes and it is just fun to walk around and take it in. Some of the food places can be a bit pricey but not crazy. Can be a fun place for older and younger alike.

Its a great place to walk around and enjoy some good food and drink. The only draw back its that a lot the restaurants are pretty fancy and expensive. I think Milwaukee is trying to draw a younger crowd to come in but it isn't going to happen with this type venue. They need more places like the Milwaukee Ale... More

We have spent lots of time in this neighborhood over many years. Some family members are born and raised in the area, and still live there, so we speak from a lot of experience. Last time there was 4 weeks ago. The area has a number of shops and restaurants that are decent and worth a visit. In the daytime,... More

Milwaukee's Third Ward is a nineteenth century neighborhood that has been regentrified in recent decades. It is regularly used for a film set for movies set in the past. It is filled with cafes, bars, art galleries, antique shops, condos, and other businesses. It is a small neighborhood surrounded by Lake Michigan to the east, the Milwaukee River to the... More

Being from Chicago we have a little bias on what is good or not in a city but the Third ward has a lot of charm. If you really want a good look at it take a food tour here to learn some of the history and taste some great food!
