I always try to visit city parks, and Lake Park was not disappointing. For me it was a very personal visit since my parents grew up in Milwaukee. It was a treat to know that some of their favorite spots really hadn't changed much from their descriptions. We had beautiful weather and took advantage with a long stroll. Missed our... More

Lake Park is just down the street from my house so I go there every day that I can and it is a blessing in my life. Many travelers from all over the world walk through this park. It was designed by the same man who designed Central Park in New York City. There are wonderful ravines, many different venues,... More

I love Lake Park! It's huge, with plenty of open grassy areas, plus other things to do (a short-hole golf course, playground for kids, tennis, soccer fields, workout equipment scattered around the park). There are benches occasionally, and some really nice views of the lake and beach toward the south end. It runs right along the coast and acts as... More

The view here alone is worth a visit! The food is outstanding, service top notch! A perfect place to meet the girls or have a romantic dinner. Pretty expensive, so also a nice place for a celebration.

Frederick Law Olmsted designed Central Park in NYC. He also designed Lake Park! It has bluff so looking Lake Michigan, paths in the woods, gulleys, magnificent trees and green space. Very cool windy road A wonderful restaurant - Lake Parl Bistro - a very small golf course - tennis courts - statuary & the Lion Bridges on the walking path... More

A gem of Milwaukee's east side, the park layout is lovely and large. The Lake Park Bistro on site has the best brunch in town.

Milwaukees Lake Park is always a nice place to come year round. Just sitting and looking at the lake is a great place to relax. Bring a picnic lunch to make the experience more memorable

Lake Park is just big enough and beautiful. It was designed by the same man that designed Central Park in NYC. It has a dreamy ravine with a stream that you can walk through and an expansive trail of walkways up top

I live near this park. It is a great place to walk and explore. There are miles of walking paths and if you like adventure, you can go down into the ravines along paths and bridges. The park is peaceful, yet full of activity. There is a 9 hole easy golf course, the old lighthouse-now a maritime museum, a first... More

This is a huge park with lots of unique features. A lighthouse, historic bridges and walkable ravine with waterfall are a few. A great restaurant and golf course are also great attractions. Bike trails abound. A must-see. http://www.lakeparkfriends.org/history.shtml
