Very cool theater from the outside and from the inside. The way it's preserve is inspiring, the place is maintained and workers there are very nice and kind. Do not worry about the quality of the screening and the halls themselves they are comfortable and fun. This place also hosts once a year the Milwaukee films festival.

This is probably my favorite movie theater. Decorated with an Asian motif, the decor inside is really amazing. The large main theater has had the areas under the balcony split off into two smaller theaters, but it was done with great care and all three theaters are comfortable and beautiful to look at. Don't miss the popcorn, it is far better... More

Gorgeous theatre! I loved the old world ambiance of the building. It shows unique movies as well as popular Disney movies and shows.

The architecture and the inside decor are simply stunning. East Indian? If you're going to take in a movie anyway, why not do it in a unique, one-of-a kind venue. Very steeped in history, very old-glam and very worth checking out if you're visiting Milwaukee.

This theater was really a step back in time and very enjoyable to experience it. You are able to buy alcohol so my husband and I enjoyed a glass of wine while watching Mission Impossible. There was only one other person in the theater so it was almost like he rented out the theater just for us!

A step back in time, and a beautifully grand one at that. Must see for a Milwaukee resident, preferably during the Fall film fest and with stops before and after at any of the many local pubs to discuss opinions of the film to be seen or just experienced.

Such a great place to go on thee 3rd Saturday of the month to see Rocky Horror. The old world charm is fantastic. If you are looking for more information, look up Sensual Daydreams- they are fantastic!!

Watch movies in a real movie theater environment. Watch the very late late night showings and join in the fun. The yearly Milwaukee Movie Festival began here.

This is a work of art, it brings back the old world charm of the movie theaters of yesteryear's. The interior is just magnificent, the art work was all done by hand painting and must of took hours to complete. This is a must see theater, if you are visiting the Milwaukee Eastside. Enjoy.

This and the Downer are the two "indie" theaters in which to see quality films in southeastern WI. The Oriental has the better decor of the two, but both show the good films that often have short or nonexistent runs at the mega theaters. The Oriental's been around since ca. 1908, thus the scenery and ambiance are an added bonus... More
