The Central library on W. Wisconsin Ave. is one of Milwaukee's most beautiful buildings, and it houses a terrific collection. The children's room is a fine resource for both fun and reading. Tours are offered on Saturday afternoons; in summer time, be sure to visit the green roof!

This is one of those Milwaukee places that you must visit every once in a while. One of those special Milwaukee spots we forget to appreciate and are lucky to have.

Using The Milwaukee Public Library has saved me a fortune by letting me borrow books instead of buying them. Their selection is great --- if you request your selections via the computer, you have access to the inventory at ALL of the libraries in Milwaukee County.

I have been to this library when Franklin Public Library didn't have the book I wanted. They seem to have a plentiful supply on hand!

Located in downtown Milwaukee on Wisconsin Ave., parking is easy, the access from either side of the building is easy. They offer a book store, cafe and helpful people.

Simply one of the best libraries I've visited. Excellent layout and facilities - helpful staff and nice exhibitions. Also features a great used-book store.

This is in downtown Milwaukee and is one of the oldest buildings with beautiful architecture. Houses an immense library from microfiche to the latest tech. Has a childrens floor also, Has an amazing amount of historical information available with a lot of friendly help to find whatever you need.
