We first went to the The Spice House - this place has every spice you can imagine and sells them in the smallest amount to large amounts. We can't wait to try the Apple Pie Spice and the Pot Roast rub. Then we went to Usinger's Deli - what a great place to buy your brats and bacon and lunch... More

This is an adorable historic area of Milwaukee. You can find all kinds of restaurants and shops. Many have traditional German influences.

The shops on this stretch of street are all great. From spices to sausages to traditional German cooking, Old World 3rd St. has it all.

A few shops and ethnic restaurants, a place to walk, not a lot of parking, not a really big area.

My wife and I manage to make a trip to Old World Third Street whenever we are in Milwaukee as there are three standout places to visit that enhance the experience. First is Maders, a traditional German restaurant dating back to 1902. Though we did not dine here this trip, I enjoyed a few brandy old fashioned cocktails at the... More

Our favorite part about Old World Third Street was the Wisconsin Cheese Mart and the Usingers building where we were able to get the cheese and sausage we wanted to bring home with us. Right on the waterfront by the cheese mart is Molly Cool's which has good seafood and other menu items. Also on Old World Third Street is... More

I recently was out on Old World 3rd St. for a bachelorette party and it was tons of fun! We started the night at Cafe Vecchio Mondo. The Italian food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Everyone, including 3 vegetarians, was able to find something tasty. We also ordered martinis by the carafes (small carafes) so we could taste a... More

I am writing this review to save you tins of money & trouble. We recently went to Milwaukee, and spent most of our time on Old World Street. Do yourself a favor, and go somewhere else if you want nice nightlife. The first place we went was the Hofbrau Haus. This place sucks! I asked for a bloody mary &... More
