This is like the duomos in Italy - a work of art everywhere you look. I don't know how attendees keep their minds on their prayers and services. Somewhat surprising is all the writing in Polish everywhere. Of course, it was built by Polish immigrants, but usually churches don't have a lot of writing and when they do it's mostly... More

One of the most beautiful churches in the USA. It is a hidden treasure. Take the free tour after the mass and it is very worthwhile. You will learn how this church was built and became an architechtual masterpiece.

This is a beautiful building. Painstakingly maintained and gorgeous. We were here a couple of Christmas's ago to hear a presentation of Handel's Messiah performed by the Milwaukee Symphony. It was of course a sold out crowd the night we attended with a group of good friends. A true appreciation for not only the music but the presentation of that... More

A lot of hype and attention went into the renovations that occurred in 1997 . . . . . . ahem . . . . . I felt the priests at that time were more concerned about the "look" of the church rather than the people themselves. Be that as it may, the priests were diligent and faithful in ensuring... More

This is a must see when visiting the Metro Milwaukee area. The Basilica is wonderfully beautiful inside and out. Recent addition of air conditioning will make year round visits comfortable for all. Basilica has a very rich history and located in a diverse neighborhood with easy access to nearby freeway. Artwork is splendid and breath taking each visit reveals more... More

The basilica is amazing! It truly feels like you're in one of the churches in Europe. At nite, the stained glass windows are beautiful. We go to concerts there and the sound is great.

This spectacularly beautiful church made us feel like we were traveling in Europe again. We attended the 8:00 a.m. Mass, then stayed around talking for about 10-15 minutes. About that time the choir started practicing for the next Mass service -- and their pure voices were such a joy to listen to.

Lovely old church with unbelievable interior. Went on a Monday early afternoon and was able to walk around entire church and spend quiet moments sitting and enjoying the silence. I'm not a church attendee but this was a very spiritual experience.
