As a student, I loved this campus. The best attraction is in the inner courtyard, which is a quiet retreat from the busy street and has the beautiful St. Joan of Arc chapel. The chapel was dismantled in France and shipped to Marquette to be reconstructed. It is well worth the visit to see the chapel.

This is not a review of Marquette itself, but of the tour my daughter took as a prospective student. Marquette is one of the schools my daughter is thinking of applying to so we signed up on Marquette's web site to take a tour of the school. When we arrived for the tour, my daughter received a book of very... More

Marquette is an urban campus in Milwaukee. A recent as the 1990s, it was surrounded by crime ridden slums. Fortunately, the administration wised-up and started buying up surrounding properties, tore down old buildings and put up some yuppie condos. The campus itself is a lot of architecturally incompatible buildings, but the library and art gallery are nice. The oasis of... More

I had to park on top floor of parking lot and walk two long blocks. If there were not any elevators, I remembered 911 and doubted if I could get down all those steps and not be out of breath. It was in the 50's too and cold.

One of the oldest buildings in the U.S. The chapel was brought over from France and reconstructed many years ago. Its provence is circa 1300. A lovely calm oasis to pray or meditate

Visited here during a conference. The campus is beautiful, within minutes of driving distance from the heart of downtown. Even though it was summer, there were a lot of people walking around. There is plenty of on-street parking around the campus, with a small fee. The staff was very friendly when I asked for directions around the campus.

Great urban university. Athletic fields are across the street from a slaughter house so the smell is not very pleasant. you do get used to it though. Several buildings have incredible charm and history to them. acedemics are incredibly strong.

A nice campus in downtown Milwaukee. The students are friendly and have an active and great ROTC program for the Navy, Marines and Army.

A fantastic urban university. They've come a long way in 30 years. The campus itself if very nice (now). And, they offer an excellent, faith-based education. The basketball games are a lot of fun too!

My daughter was scouting out schools and we found Marquette close to home and intellectually inviting. UW Madison took 1st place though.
