Description: Lakefront Brewery is a leader in brewing the best beers in Milwaukee...
Lakefront Brewery is a leader in brewing the best beers in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Specializing in lagers in their formative years, Lakefront has since released the first certified organic beer, gluten-free beer, as well as the first fruit beer since prohibition. A leader in innovation, Lakefront more recently released a beer containing only ingredients found in Wisconsin, including an indigenous yeast strain cultivated right here in Milwaukee. Riverwest Stein Amber Lager is the must try as it's the most popular craft beer in Milwaukee and the flagship that built the place. Beer aside, Lakefront is also known around the country for their highly entertaining and sought-after brewery tours. $8.00 gets you 4 6 oz. samples, a souvenir pint glass, and a coupon for Lakefront beer at one of many locations. It's recommended to buy your tickets online ahead of time, but tickets can also be bought walk-up for the next available tour.

Tickets were sold out online so we showed up at 6 and were able to get tickets for the 7:30 tour. It was just enough time to drink a few of our 4 beer tastings included in the $8 ticket while we waited for a table, fill up on some of the delicious food (we had the fried cheese curds... More

We visited this as part of a tour with Untapped. Our guide at Lakefront was JD. He did a really good job of giving lots of information and entertaining us all at the same time! See the bottling line from the opening of Laverne and Shirley (old TV show, for you youngsters!) PLUS they give you a whole glass of... More

The most fun you will ever have for 7 bucks! There were people taking the tour who were locals, returning to take tour again. $7, 4 beers and a glass to keep. Good bear, nice story, cool place. GO!

Went to this brewery as part of the Untapped Tour of Milwaukee (see my review of this excellent tour). The beer was very good. A tour guide was included. I did not find him very good - discussion took place on a little balcony overlooking big barrels of beer - nothing to see and very cramped (I'm not usually claustrophobic).... More

TravelinAlan has done brewery tours on 6 of the 7 continents. There are no brewery tours in Antarctica. No question, no debate, Lakefront is the best. A bargain at $8=tour+4 nice tastes and you get a glass. Eric will greet you, Derek will be you tour guide (he is worth the price of admission) and Greta will fill your glass.... More

Lakefront Brewery tours are good for anyone who wants to drink good beer for cheap and have fun. But you will learn very little about the making of beer. Or at least we did. After experiencing Sam Adams Brewery tour, you get used to good experiential learning. Here you get all the experience, less of the learning The guide was... More

Great tour that comes with 4 beers and a free pint glass. Sammy the tour guide was a lot of fun. Fish fry on Friday was excellent.

Unfortunately this was a quick stop and we arrived before the kitchen opened. We tried several beers and took a 12 pack to go. Definitely worth stopping to taste and enjoy the historic building. Our kids enjoyed the root beer!

Sampled many of the beers on the tour. You also receive a souvenir pint glass when you return your plastic cup. Our bearded-ginger tour guide was hilarious. He referred to himself as the self appointed beer historian due to his independent study of beer in college. Highly recommended! Make sure you buy your tickets with enough time before it begins...
