Went last summer on a road trip with the fella's. Take it for what it is though. It's a short tour and the owner (who gave us our tour) is a bit of a character. We had a good time and ended up hanging out after they closed. One of the highlights of our trip. more

Sorry to read the previous poster's poor experience at Lakefront because we had an awesome time! The tour was about an hour long and was made really entertaining by Mark our guide. It also helped that we were in a good humored group with lots of young people. The beer was tasty and flowed freely. The back patio on the... more

By far one of the most irritating experiences I have had in Milwaukee. It probably would have been a great tour but the fact it was completely packed on a friday night, there are no signs to tell you which line to stand in for dinner, where to go to purchase tickets for the tour, the bathrooms being totally inaccesible... more

Our first choice was Miller brewery but changed our minds last minute. I think we made a right choice as it was a fun filled tour. The tour lead was a funny guy and kept everyone laughing all the time. Tour cost is $ 5.00 per person including four tickets to purchase beer at their outlet. Make sure you go... more

I just visited Lakefront Brewery with two girlfriends on Friday night. Mark, our guide, was hilarious. Unlike previous reviewers, we were given a small plastic cup (10 oz?) with unlimited refills. You could then trade your cup in after the tour for a pint glass. The tour was very interesting and we met lots of fun people en route. The... more

We followed the above poster's advice and sought out the Lakefront Brewery. We were not disappointed. The staff was a hoot! After paying our $5.00 we received 4 tokens and a nice heavy 16 oz glass with the Lakefront Logo on it to drink with and keep. We could use 1 token/beer or 2 tokens for theie root bear (which... more

As a former Milwaukee dweller, Lakefront Brewery was always one of my favorite places to take visiting friends and family. Now they have expanded (still a small-craft brewery, just a nicer space) and become a destination. Get there early to make the cut for a tour -- the university students take up a lot of the slots (they know a... more

Ask any local what Brewery to tour and two names pop up, Sprecher Brewery in Glendale and the Lakefront Brewery. Back in the day, Lakerfront was an "all-you-can-drink" affair. Even though those days are long-gone, you still get a satisfying 3 pints of beer, and it is real beer, not that watered down swill at Miller. Plus, you don't have... more
