I just love this place. The beer is excellent, the tour inside brewery is small but good, you get to keep a pint glass, and the beer is great (opps, already said that!). We always hit this brewery when in the Milwaukee area. There is a Summer boat ride/tour down the Milwaukee River to 3 breweries, that we have yet... more

We recently visited Lakefront Brewery in Milwaukee and enjoyed mulitple delicous beers and were very entertained by the tour guide and staff. The environment was fun and fresh. Tours are $6 - you receive tokens for 4 beers of your choice and get a pint glass. It is first come, first serve for tours, so I would recommend coming early. more

Gina & I have visited Lakefront Brewery several times, both at their present location & their previous location on Chambers St. The tours have always been very laid-back & informal, by no means pretentious. I've toured large breweries such as Miller & Anheuser-Busch previously. Lakefront is different in many different ways. Most notably is that it's a micro-brewery, much smaller... more

Just turned 40 and took a family overnighter (me, hubby, and 2 teens-13 and 14) to Milwaukee. Our first stop was Lakefront Brewery and we had a blast. Had been to Sprecher before, which we really liked, and this was similar except we started the tour with a drink, got another in the middle, and then ended up pretty much... more

Lakefront Brewery is the 'Animal House' of brewery tours, and those were the tour guides' words. I've been on several different brewery tours before (from Coors to Busch), and this was definitely the most unique and laid back of them all. First off - my husband and I don't drink, nor like, beer. But, I usually find the tours to... more

A tour is a tour, but here you get to drink some great beer (that I wish was readily available in the Chicagoland area). Interesting and informative. They're very proud of what they do, as they shouls be. If you luck out and get Joe as your tour guide, it will add to the experience. more

Toured Lakefront Brewery on a Saturday afternoon recently. The tour lasted about an hour. For $6 you get an entertaining and informational tour, 4 cups of beer or 2 root beers and a souvenir pint glass. Unlike other tours I've been on, you can sample the beer before the tour, during the tour and after the tour. Our tour guide,... more

If you've done any sort of microbrewery tour before, then you probably don't need to bother with this one. The female tour guide was kind of annoying in a trying-to-be-funny-but really-not way and the tour group was way too large for the spaces. We spent more time regrouping and waiting in line for beer than on any sort of actual... more

Went last summer on a road trip with the fella's. Take it for what it is though. It's a short tour and the owner (who gave us our tour) is a bit of a character. We had a good time and ended up hanging out after they closed. One of the highlights of our trip. more
