I have to say the grounds at Festival Park are fantastic. The concessions buildings are actual buildings. There are many to choose from (German, British, Irish, Mexican, Thai, Italian, and about a dozen more) and most of it is fairly decent for festival type food. The restrooms are buildings, not portapottys. Surprisingly there are many located across the park and... More

GREAT event! Reading reviews I have to agree with some negative comments: Yes! It's loud! Yes! It's lots of drunks! But it's SummerFest! !!! Don't go to SummerFest just because: BE smart! Plan ahead: check website summerfest.com and choose the music you like! There is a LOT of choices: from kids music (Tuesday) to good old times favourites! And anything... More

There is nothing I did not like about Summer Fest but was a little surprised there was not a huge effort to ask for ID for people who were purchasing beer.

Fun for all ages. If you can not find a type of music you like here, you do not like music. Stages for all kinds of acts. The Summerfest web sight is very helpful in planning your trip because they give you the daily line up for the two week festival. If you do not like huge crowds (very drunk)... More

but a nice venue for other, smaller festivals. Right on the lake shore with lots and lots of stages and food options. Great place to be on a beautiful day, not much for shelter if the weather turns ugly.

Some Summerfest lineups are better than others - so first you should go to the website to select the shows you want to see. If you are planning on seeing a Headliner show (10pm), then you'll have to arrive hours before to claim your seats. If you go with a group, then you can take turns saving the seats. Can... More

"The largest music festival in the world" is right here in Milwaukee. Living here, I have been able to go for many years on multiple days each year. The years seem to have their ups and downs. But with that many bands playing on multiple stages every day, there is some music for everyone. You do have to remember this... More

Yea Summerfest is one of the most famous attractions in Milwaukee in the summer, but I don't see what the big deal is about it. I'm from Arizona and visited Summerfest while in Milwaukee, it was nothing but drunk, loud, obnoxious white people and teenagers. The music was boring, the food expensive, and not much variety but the usual greasy,... More

We visited the park while in Milwaukee and the Polish Festival was going on. Great festival with numerous live music stages, great food and beer. You can stroll around the grounds, walk along the lake or enjoy the ethnic music and dancers. The festivals change throughout the summer season, a definite must see if you are in the area.
