Our teens found this to be one of their favorite spots of our entire trip. They spent 3 hours enjoying the exhibits and would have stayed longer. A nice touch tank is located downstairs - baby sharks were sleeping on the day we visited, but the manta rays were active. The water filtration exhibit is well done, the girls were... More

You enjoy learning and working the hands on exhibits as much and our kids do and you both experience things together which makes for a great day.

We went here with our grandson. It was a nice visit but we were somewhat disappointed with the exhibits. Many were not working. However, our grandson loved the grossology exhibit. He even made toilet glasses! The building was interesting as it was laid out with a genome sculptor 2 stories high, and views of Lake Michigan and the sailing vessel... More

Visit the Discovery Museum everytime I am in Milwaukee with my daughters. It keeps us entertained for about 2.5 hours before they want to leave. They love the aquarium, especially petting the stingrays. Other favorites are the bed of nails, flight simulator, race car simulator, and the schooner or what my girls refer to as the pirate ship. This time... More

My two little boys loved this place! There is a lot to do and many exhibits to explore throughout. My 5-year old especially enjoyed the "bed of nails." You can actually lay on a bed of nails and experience the thrill of being "punctured" by a thousand nails. The guitar exhibit is a lot really neat to explore, a lot... More

I have to say that I like this museum. It's a small gem that offers a lot of different information. I was so surprised to see an exhibit specifically about the electric guitar and Les Paul's contributions. The display included some great classic guitars and the history of how it was developed. The aquariums provide some Great Lakes and ocean... More

A lot of the displays were "under construction". What was there didn't seem to have labels or plaques. With a little work this could have been much more educational but it seemed lacking. The aquarium was definitely a small highlight.

My husband and I love visiting museums when we travel to new places. Honestly, this was a total bust. We were excited by the list of exhibits, but upon actually seeing them, we were totally disappointed. The exhibits were hard to follow and in some cases, no information was next to the object, concept, etc. being looked upon. We paid... More

Lots and lots of kids running around. But you expect that visiting during the week with school groups etc. Seemed like the amount of exhibits not working or being refurbished was high. Parking was a joke. Staff that runs underground parking doesn't show up until an hour or two after museum opens according to folks selling tickets. Went with 9... More

We went on a rainy Sunday morning mostly to see the aquarium. It was interesting and not too overwhelming like some science museums can be. Definitely worth the visit and we enjoyed it!
