My husband and I visited this museum as part of a day trip to Milwaukee. We don't have and didn't bring any children to this discovery palace but we sure did have quite a lot of fun. Immediately the museum grabs you in, enticing you to meander the "motion" exhibits before you climb the stairs to the rest of the... More

When my daughter-in-law suggested an afternoon out with our then youngest grand daughter, I wondered how long she would last. Being 2 and expecting her to 'be a big girl' was a special request. So after her afternoon nap and when her older sisters were in school, it was her chance to be the only center of Lil Gram's attention.... More

Discovery world encompasses several different areas that you might find at a children's discovery museum - but this museum is very attractive to the adults! There's a technology center, a theater, an environmental center focused on the Great Lakes region, including a fabulous small aquarium, a working Great Lakes schooner. The technology center includes a very expansive exhibited on the... More

The S/V Denis Sullivan is owned by Discovery World. This is a tall ship with 3 sails that you can take a cruise on. We went with our park and rec senior day away trip. This is unbelieveable to see operating here in the Mid-West. We are fortunate to live near the great lake Michigan here in Wisconsin. This ship... More

Wow this is a very interesting place to discover and learn how a lot of things evolved over time. The coral reef area reminds me of when I lived Marathon Florida and went scuba diving on the reef just east of the Florida Keys.

Discovery World is pretty awesome! I was able to pet a stingray and a shark, which was fun. We also explored a real ship. I absolutely love the view of Lake Michigan and the Milwaukee skyline from the top of the building. We got some great pictures from there. The tunnel aquarium was very cool. You can see jellyfish! (Great... More

There is so much to do and see, where do I start? Everything is "hands-on" - we started in the water world which show the Great Lakes and their fish, got to pet de-barbed stingrays and sharks, seriously, we did! Went through a tunnel aquarium, went on a submarine, went on a suspended old school ship suspended mid-level in the... More

This venue is situated on the shore of Lake Michigan with views of the skyline, the coast, the water, and the Milwaukee art museum. We attended an arranged dinner and the food was excellent. There are multiple opportunities for viewing sea life et al. It is easy walking distance from downtown.
