There is a range of interests presented in small enough doses that one can focus on a different area and file away more interests for the next trip. Cool butterfly house.

In town for USA Fencing's NAC tournament. The museum is a very short walk from the Doubletree Hotel and the Convention Center. Three floors of interesting and fun exhibits ranging from dinosaurs to the rain forest to old-time Milwaukee and much more. Lots of interactive exhibits! The new Crossroads of Civilization exhibit is excellent! Great visuals. The indoor butterfly garden... More

This museum has beautiful exhibits that stand the test of time because they don't seem to change. The new permanent exhibit, "Crossroads of Civilizations" is exceptional. One of the themes is "communication" and the history of the development of written languages was well executed. I also was fascinated with the scale model of an Egyptian temple courtyard, and the life-size... More

MPM is a biannual (or triannual) must. Its 4 levels will take half a day to do it justice between the planetarium & IMax shows, the classic streets of old Milwaukee, the dioramas of Native American culture, and the new Crossroads of Civilization exhibit. Great for kids and adults alike.

If you plan on visiting Milwaukee , this is a must see. There is very little to do in this city but The museum is worth the trip by itself. Quality exhibits , well maintained and friendly staff' I've going there since 1967.

We were at the museum for 5 hours and only made it to the IMAX and the first floor. The museum is very different from others in a 200 mile radius. We cannot wait to go back to explore the other 2 floors.

The Milwaukee Museum is one of the best places in Milwaukee to not only catch the flavor of OLD Milwaukee but to encounter the world. You can get lost in Africa, visit Guatemala or play with butterflies all in the same building! LOVE this place.
