You MUST visit this museum when in town! My family and I have been many times-and enjoy it every time. From the youngest to the oldest in your group-everyone will have a great time. Convenient parking too and the city is super clean! Enjoy!

The Milwaukee Public Museum is a favorite rainy day activity. It boasts multiple floors of great exhibits, including the Old Streets of Milwaukee, a live butterfly room (where they land on you!), a rain forest exhibit, and trips across all continents. Some of the displays are getting dated in appearance and use - but hey, that must mean people like... More

My wife, two daughters, 11 & 15, and I visited Milwaukee for a short vacation in September 2014. We visited the Milwaukee Public Museum and it was a great time for our whole family. The exhibits were put together very well and the staff was very polite and helpful. We were at the museum for about four hours. My daughters... More

A bit old fashioned, in a good way. The Streets of Milwaukee exhibit has been there forever and I love it!! The rest of the Museum changes with amazing exhibits. The special displays, King Tut, Titanic, The Popes, always well done! Great place for families. Young and old will appreciate this Museum.

Wow! This museum is fantastic! There are three floors full of exhibits. The second and third floors have exhibits from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Australia, North America, South America, Polynesian Islands, and the Arctic regions. The first floor has a nice rain forest exhibit, old Milwaukee exhibit with a Nickelodeon theatre, European village, and butterfly garden (with tons of... More

This was one of my favorite places that we visited during our trip to Milwaukee. The European village and old time Milwaukee exhibits were amazing. It's like you walk through an actual village - houses with people inside, streets, streetlights, balconies, gardens, barbershops, candy shops, butcher shops, etc. I could have spent all day exploring the villages. It's truly an... More

Unless your Grandma lives in castle, the Milwaukee Public Museum is an undoubtedly larger building. However, like your Grandma's house, most things haven't changed in 25 years. One can argue that museums are supposed to be old. After all, most are a look back at historical events. The Milwaukee Public Museum goes just that. Exhibits include a Costa Rican rainforest,... Loved this museum! Great exhibits - interesting and informative. The Dinosaur exhibit, butterfly exhibit, European village were highlights but all were exceptional, I look forward to more visits.

I hate going to museums because they are generally so so boring! I am a native New Yorker and came to Milwaukee with my senior parents to visit for a few days so I thought this would be something enjoyable for them at 80 years old. Little did I even dream I would fall in love with it too! It... More
