nice exhibits, but very packed and hard to not compete with people just to walk forward. Perhaps going during the week would be better

The butterfly garden and IMAX where the highlights. Many of the displays are outdated. Very few interactive displays.

We took advantage of the free weekend since we were looking for something to do. Always a great time there. We always seem to see things we missed before. We love the butterfly section. Hundreds of them fling around you and landing on you.well me anyways.wear purple hoodies. Streets of Milwaukee always awesome n we cannot wait for the new... More

I really did not like this place. Persia is in Africa? The Mayans were "the Greeks of the Americas"? Nothing is individually labelled. There is no context provided. It has a bunch of dioramas, some impressive, but without explanation. There is little to learn here, though much to see. Great taxidermy and created figures. The Native American artifacts were stunning,... More

We enjoyed the three hours we spent here, especially the streets of old Milwaukee and the ethnic villages nearby. I was born in Milwaukee and visited the museum often in my school days. Unfortunately, nothing much has changed in fact it would be fair to say that virtually nothing has changed. The displays are dated. Perhaps if you have never... More

This is 'by far' the best museum I've ever been to. My four year old granddaughter loves it. We go at least once per month.

Planetarium has a wonderful 30 minute presentation. Butterfly area is fun, as the butterflies land on your clothing and hands if you stand still. The exhibits are really wonderful and informative. The museum is one of the best I've visited.

Our daughter and son-in-law discovered this museum by accident some month ago. I'm so glad they decided to share it with us on our visit. Their 4-year old and 2-year old daughters were excited by all the exhibits we visited. We were impressed with the crisp clean look of all the exhibits. Each was well annotated and informative. The staff... More
