The museum is very Educational from children to adults. A lot to see and do for every age. Can be on a little on the pricey side. But it is worth the money.

A lovely live butterfly exhibit, and another of old streets from bygone times and cultures. However the American Indian and natural history exhibits were old when I was a child - they need to dust, revitalize, modernize. I think the planetarium could appeal to many but it made me sick to my stomach with dizzying panning and swirling. Bottom line,... More

My wife and I had not been to the Milwaukee Public Museum since we were teenagers and we're now 50. Our two teenage boys and 20-something daughter were seeing for first time and thought it was a worthwhile visit. We really liked the renovated Streets of Milwaukee and new exhibit on King Tut. We finished with the Night Sky program... More

We visited in the winter, so we had limited options. We visited on a Sunday morning and had an absolute blast. The staff was friendly and the exhibits were awesome and and kid friendly. They have 3-4 different floors with different exhibits on each floor. I definitely recommend checking this place out!

..a lot to see and discover, but very confusing. A perfect place for kids though, so if one needs to distract the young on for a couple of hours, this is probably the place. Don't lose them though..

A recreation of the Streets of Old Milwaukee gives a real feel of the immigrants who made this city what it is. The geology section is fascinating with graphics of the tectonic plate movements and how that relates to us today. There are fantastic skeletons of mastodons and whales. You could spend several days here, so it's best to plan... More

One of my favorite trips is to spend time at the Milwaukee Public Museum. We are very lucky to have such a wonderful activity for families. I really enjoy the fantastic display of Native American artifacts. My favorite is the life size Native American dancers that are dressed in clothing that is traditional to each tribe that lives in our... More

Great museum, tons of neat exhibits. The Streets of Milwaukee is cool - I love how it even has SMELLS! Butterfly room is beautiful. Garage parking nearby (indoor entrance to museum) isn't too bad. The one thing I'd note is some of the anthropology stuff seems a little dated/stereotyped and it is a bit expensive.
