I've been coming to this museum since I was a small child. I'm happy to see they're updating a classing exhibit, and they've just added in a new permanent exhibit! If you have children, they will love this place, especially the butterfly room! Even as an adult I have fun here.

from the permanent attractions and the temporary ones, the museum does a great job. My favorite, for 20 years now, is the Streets of Old Milwaukee, where you walk through a recreation of MKE from the 1880's, very fun to ponder life back then.

Natural and human history museum. There are 3 floors of exhibitis, which are mostly dioramas displaying interesting artifacts. There is a classic display of objects on the second floor. There is a neat butterfly enclosure. A candy shop is open for certain hours in the Old Milwaukee. You can see a movie in the Imax theater. We went to the... More

I haven't been to the MPM since I was in high school 17+years ago. Needless to say it hasn't changed much. Most exhibits have little no information on what you're looking at. The old streets of Milwaukee is my favorite area but there was a horrible smell that made it almost sickening to be in that area. The butterfly exhibit... More

We have a great time when we go. I have a 3 year old & she is fascinated! I must say on the free days that there needs to be more security because a lot of children were running around unsupervised.

Most of the staff didn't seem interested in helping. Felt that the cost was high for what they have there, when you consider paying for parking, plus the admission.
