I had a couple of days in milwaukee to take in as much as I could, we did museums and mansions and breweries, this museum however is way above the class of everything else. Whoever is responsible for setting up the displays should be commended, these sets are better than disney quality! We left very impressed, best money I spent... More

Plenty here to keep anyone busy. This is the best museum I have been to. Everything set up in scenes rather than just a bunch of artifacts. Other museums need to take note on how well this is done.

We had a great time at this museum! The kids especially enjoyed the butterfly room. Old Milwaukee was my husbands favourite from his childhood!

The biggest problem is parking in the area. Depending on were you are staying, get out an walk explore the area around there. Food service was so, so.

We were able to enter free, as we belong to a reciprocal museum. We often visit the Field in Chicago, but the MPM may be my new favorite! We enjoyed the butterfly house (so many active butterflies!!) and the exhibits of areas around the world. My favorite was the collection of "old time" museum exhibits, clustered at the front staircase.... More

This is one of the best public museums I have ever visited. 4 stories of exhibits that includes everything from mummies, to displays of the various Indian tribes of the us, to exhibits of the animals and people of different countries, Don't miss the Butterfly Garden with free flying species from around the world. Plan on spending at least 4... More

A must for an education on what Milwaukee has to offer and what it was like back in the earlier years. The butterfly interactive exhibit is something for the young and old.. very impressive.

A great mix of natural history and world history. The streets of Old Milwaukee are a must do for everyone. A great trip back into the past. The collection is unmatched in the state. We looked at artifacts from Egypt, Latin American, China and Japan all in stunning displays. A great way to spend the day.

We enjoyed our visit here. My son liked walking through the Old Streets of Milwaukee. Looks just like a little town. The museum is big and is on three floors. Lots to see and explore. The employees are very friendly and you can get a map to help you through the museum. We had a hard time finding the down... More
