We had free passes and only paid for parking. WE spent about 3 hours and saw plenty. The sky show was worth it, the streets from around the world was informative. LOVED going through the butterfly display. One butterfly landed on me when we walked in and stayed with me the entire time. Lost of fun, lots to see!

Renovated Streets of Old Milwaukee was the attraction that took us on a recent trip to the Milwaukee Public Museum. Street parking is scant, but there is the Mac Arthur Square Parking Structure just next to the Museum and Courthouse Campus. You need to take your ticket with you and pay station at the designed area before returning to your... More

This was my first time at the museum. Just happened to run across it when looking for cold weather things to do in Milwaukee. It's an interesting museum because it has an extensive collection of artifacts and exhibits from prehistoric times until present. They have recently reopened their "Old Milwaukee" exhibit which depicts Milwaukee history from the 1800s until recent... More

The museum is very Educational from children to adults. A lot to see and do for every age. Can be on a little on the pricey side. But it is worth the money.

A lovely live butterfly exhibit, and another of old streets from bygone times and cultures. However the American Indian and natural history exhibits were old when I was a child - they need to dust, revitalize, modernize. I think the planetarium could appeal to many but it made me sick to my stomach with dizzying panning and swirling. Bottom line,... More

My wife and I had not been to the Milwaukee Public Museum since we were teenagers and we're now 50. Our two teenage boys and 20-something daughter were seeing for first time and thought it was a worthwhile visit. We really liked the renovated Streets of Milwaukee and new exhibit on King Tut. We finished with the Night Sky program... More

We visited in the winter, so we had limited options. We visited on a Sunday morning and had an absolute blast. The staff was friendly and the exhibits were awesome and and kid friendly. They have 3-4 different floors with different exhibits on each floor. I definitely recommend checking this place out!

..a lot to see and discover, but very confusing. A perfect place for kids though, so if one needs to distract the young on for a couple of hours, this is probably the place. Don't lose them though..
