Watching the MSO grow under the baton of Maestro de Waart has been a joy. They are becoming a tight, cohesive ensemble which is comfortable with all the repertoire. I attended last night's performance of the Mozart piano concerto (#18) and the Schubert Great C-Major symphony. Last night was probably my 10th visit to the MSO - it's worth the... More

The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra is flat-out excellent. Visiting artists and conductors are world-class, and clearly Edo de Waart is a draw, with his connections in the music world. I love the way that concerts are put together, combining new and experimental with classical, but tying the pieces together with a common thread. If you get tickets I recommend going to... More

Wonderful afternoon spent with choral music and soloist Ashley Brown. Music was traditional songs. Highlight was Oh Holy Night. The venue was very nice. We got our tickets as a gift and thanked our son many times. Great way to start the Christmas season.

We're fortunate to have such a fine orchestra. The Milwaukee Symphony has consistently received critical acclaim for their artistic achievements under their conductor, Edo de Waart, for their artistic achievements and rightfully so. The individual players are first rate players as well, especially Frank Almond, the concertmaster.

Have enjoyed the MSO for decades--truly professional presentations, whether classical, neo, or pops. They've been hurting financially, and could use your money!

Not enough can be said about Milwaukee's world-class orchestra and their programs! The musicianship for classical as well as pops concerts is first rate. Whether it's Edo de Waart conducting the orchestra or John Williams, what each audience gets is the very best from every player. Every concert is a great experience and acts as a beautiful centerpiece for any... More

I'm not very familiar with classical music but I enjoyed the concert. We went to the pre-concert lecture which helped me understand what I was listening to :-) Knowing one of the members of the orchestra added to the enjoyment of the concert.

I've seen the MSO perform several times. At certain performances, I've noticed that my breathing slows down and once in a while I've even closed my eyes. While you could never fall asleep because you wouldn't want to miss a moment of the performance, it is soooooooooooooooo relaxing to just sit there and absorb the music.

I have been to countless concerts over the years and they are always above average to fantastic. Mark has really gotten the city back on track with supporting its symphony. My only 'beef' is with the concert goers who almost always give a standing ovation. Standing ovations are for the best performances possible, not an everyday event!
