My husband and I spend the afternoon at the zoo and found it to be very enjoyable. It was a cool summer day and the animals were very active. We ate lunch before we came because we figured the food prices inside would be expensive. I'm not sure that was the best idea, however, because it is a very large... more

I've been here plenty of times on field trips. It's pretty big so bring walking shoes! I'd suggest bringing small snacks for younger kids because the food is kinda pricey. There are lots of areas throughout the zoo where you can sit and eat. One part that kids usually enjoy is the small petting farm. You can feed baby goats!... more

I took my 6 year old grandson here yesterday,it has been about 6 years since I've been there,I thought it would be better. I am not from Milwaukee county so it cost me $10.00 to park, $12.00 for me to get in and $9.00 for my grandson. We had lunch at the Woodland cafe, which was ridiculuosly slow, and expensive. 7 people... more

Lots of fun for kids of all ages. Good food. Lots of events, classes for kids, etc.. My daughters and I used to camp out overnight during one of their events every August. It was so much fun to sleep in the zoo in a tent, you could hear the animals all night, great time! Now my kids are grown... more

Went to the zoo. It was nicely laid out and mostly a flat walk. There were too many animals that were too far to see (unless you brought binoculars) and some were hidden by features. I also felt that they nickel and dimed us for admission. Why not just charge 1 price up front and have package deals. I would... more

We went to the zoo on Senior Day, Aug. 29. It was a pleasant experience and a good bargain since admission was free. There were a few areas which could be approved. The map provided was difficult to follow. Some large, permanent maps marking "you are here" would make it easier to get around. Another area of improvement would be... more

I went here at 2pm. Now I know that's a little late, but I was assured the Zoo did not close until 5pm. So the total for 2 adults & 2 children under 6 with parking was 48.00. When we walk in, we realize that every little extra thing costs money. The Stingray/shark exhibit that was advertised was extra$$. I... more

The Milwaukee Zoo is always such a fun and happy place for our family. We love going at different times of the day, in the mornings, there are different animal shows going on, and the afternoons are great, because it is quieter there, and you will usually see the animals in the outdoor exhibits much more active. Yes, 2 of... more

The Milwaukee Zoo is large enough to spend a day. It is a good value but closes somewhat early (5pm.) May be crowded on a Wednesday (discounted admission to Milwaukee County residents). Great view of the cheetahs through a plexiglass window. You can pay to feed the giraffes. We didn't do this, but we saw others and you get right... more
