Just visited the zoo for the first time in about 8-years. Still a lot of fun, even with a 14 and 17-year old. We needed a place to go for a good 8-hours while my daughter carried a receiver for a pill-cam being done for Children's Hospital. It was the perfect spot to kill time and have fun. The day... More

I'm from Cincinnati and love the Cincinnati Zoo. When we go to visit my mom in Wisconsin we often try to go to the Milwaukee Zoo. It had been a couple years since our last visit there though so it was nice to see the zoo with fresh eyes. I felt like my kids were old enough to do the... More

Milwaukee County Zoo is easily accessible - despite the seeming perennial roadworks in the area. There are picnic benches around the huge car-park (but watch out for the ravenous gulls that pester for your sandwiches!) We have been a number of times - first when our children were very young, and most recently when they are young adults, with their... More

Who would have thought that you would have to travel 90 miles north of Chicago and its two zoos to actually see elephants and hippos in humble Milwaukee? Not only does this zoo feature these 2 crowd-pleasing pachyderms which are conspicuously missing in both Brookfield and Lincoln Park Zoo of Chicago, but a great variety of other animals, as well:... My husband and I spent the day here before going to Miller Park. It is a very nice zoo with a variety of animals. It is nice that you can bring in your own food and beverages. They have plenty of water fountains to be able to refill your water bottles. That can save you a lot of money in... More

This Zoo was very large but easy to manage. The price was reasonable especially for all the animals that you are able to encounter. They also have a touch tank for sharks and sting rays for $2.00 extra a person and my boys loved it. We did eat in one of the cafe's and it wasn't too expensive if you... More

A very pretty zoo. The exhibits were designed in a unique manner as well as some creative flower displays. The day we were there, many of the animals were close to the viewing areas. Worth a visit.

This zoo is great, they have a variety of animals, and lots of space so you don't feel crowded, except in some of the buildings, where it gets pretty crowded. They have elephants which are my favorite. It is a very pretty place too, many places to get great family pictures. The zookeepers are really friendly too, when you find... More
