We went to the zoo on Senior Day, Aug. 29. It was a pleasant experience and a good bargain since admission was free. There were a few areas which could be approved. The map provided was difficult to follow. Some large, permanent maps marking "you are here" would make it easier to get around. Another area of improvement would be... more

I went here at 2pm. Now I know that's a little late, but I was assured the Zoo did not close until 5pm. So the total for 2 adults & 2 children under 6 with parking was 48.00. When we walk in, we realize that every little extra thing costs money. The Stingray/shark exhibit that was advertised was extra$$. I... more

The Milwaukee Zoo is always such a fun and happy place for our family. We love going at different times of the day, in the mornings, there are different animal shows going on, and the afternoons are great, because it is quieter there, and you will usually see the animals in the outdoor exhibits much more active. Yes, 2 of... more

The Milwaukee Zoo is large enough to spend a day. It is a good value but closes somewhat early (5pm.) May be crowded on a Wednesday (discounted admission to Milwaukee County residents). Great view of the cheetahs through a plexiglass window. You can pay to feed the giraffes. We didn't do this, but we saw others and you get right... more

We went there two years ago and we just loved it! There were a lot of things for the children to do. My little girl just loved riding the ponies! We live in Denver Colorado and our zoo just SUCKS! But this zoo was wonderful. Every section was just so pretty and green and very well kept up. It was... more

Our family has visited many zoo's including Denver, St. Louis, Cleveland, Minneapolis, Des Moines, and Brookfield in Chicago. I would rate this as our #2 on our list (So far, nothing has beat Brookfield - but we will try with a trip to San Diego someday) This zoo was clean, shady and for the most part flat. (Nothing worse than... more

I am very sad that I have to write what I am about to... but here goes... I was at the Milwaukee Zoo this past weekend... and it was a disappointing experience. I am a zoo fanatic and have been wanting to go for years. Although the grounds are beautiful and a great place to roam, the overall experience fell... more

This zoo is a true oasis in the city of Milwaukee. With approximately 2500 animals, there is something for everyone. The newly renovated feline building is extraordinary, with tigers, lions, jaguars & cheetahs. There is also an excellent "family farm" area, where kids can see live demonstrations, a dairy barn & a playground. The Milwaukee County Zoo will always be... more

This is a wonderful zoo. Plan to spend the whole day. They not only have amazing animals, they have a small aquarium, a milking barn and even a few rides. Trust me the kids will want to ride the Safari Train. The only draw back is that the zoo is not easy to navigate. The exhibits are not in a... more
