This is one of the best zoos around. The areas that have been updated give you up close and personal experiences with the animals. The giraffe experience and the big cat house are some of my favorites. Someone is always around to answer questions and give interesting lectures. There is a wide variety of animals and something for everyone to... More

I have only been to a few other zoos, but I still contend that Milwaukee's is among the best. The animals' enclosures are generally lush and comfortable-looking (for a zoo, anyway), the informational signs are prolific, as are the friendly and informative volunteers. The events are always top-notch. The educational programs are wonderful and worth every penny (and they are... More

I visit the area every year from Arizona, and my nieces always want to go to the zoo, I have no objections. The zoo is clean and staff seem friendly. Lots of shade and places to sit. The train ride is fun and the kids have a good time. This was my 3rd or 4th visit and I've seem something... More

Very clean and well maintained. The entry price for an adult (over age 12) was $14.25, senior $13.25, plus $12.00 for parking. Saw the birds of prey show which was informative and entertaining.

We visited on a day when the weather was perfect (70's and overcast) It was a Sunday so it was fairly busy. I would recommend to get there early because the later in the day it got, the busier all the exhibits got. We let the kids do the ropes course at the end (an extra $10 each) which they... More

The Milwaukee Zoo is always a destination when we visit with family in the area. Our 3 year old Granddaughter loves the giraffes and monkeys. Our Son has an annual pass which more than pays for itself if you visit a few times. The grounds are always well kept and clean. Only observation would be that they are in need... More

Wonderful animal exhibits but many obstructions exist, especially for little children and those in strollers or wheelchairs. Outdoor exhibits that have shrubbery growing in front of the exhibit need to updated to make viewing by children possible without being lifted by adults or taken in and out of strollers each time...and wheelchair visitors? Good luck! Put in flowers or ground... More

Great Zoo but it is up and down hills. I think is is much better than Chicago's two Zoo's. I love Lincoln Park but Milwaukee reminds me of San Diago Zoo.

I was impressed with this zoo. Well kept up for the people, but when you see the cages that the animals go into at night need painting and cleaning. They aren't afraid to ask you for extra money throughout the zoo, wonder where it's going? The overall experience was good, the exhibits look really nice, but the places they send... More
