We tend to hit the zoo wherever we travel if time permits, and the Milwaukee Zoo is worth the time and money. We recommend doing animal feedings whenever you get the chance -- the kids loved it.

Nice shady zoo with wide walkways. Most exhibits were nice-a lot of the primates have to spend too much time inside. The gift shop is one of the worst I've ever seen.

I gave this attraction an average rating because I found myself backtracking all the time to try to see everything. This is such a shame, because I had only a limited time to see this zoo. My other "dislike" was that the feeding times are all the same, so I did not get to see the giraffes because I chose... More

We love the zoo but get tired of getting kids in and out of the strollers so they can see the animals in the exhibits. If the designers would simply get down on a child's level to see what they see, I think zoos would change. Do not put shrubbery in front of the exhibits. That blocks the view of... More

This is a beautifully landscaped zoo for visitors. It has a wonderful collection of animals and many knowledgeable docents on hand. My only concern was that with all of that space they had, maybe they could have afforded to give a little more to enrich the habitats for some of species. I work for a Zoo and am a little... More

Overall, this zoo is very nice. We went on a Saturday and the weather was perfect. The only thing that we found disturbing was that we saw some apes and elephants eating their fecal matter. This made us wonder if the animals were being properly fed. To be fair, maybe this is normal for some animals and I'm not a... More

Best zoo i have ever been to. Well worth paying admission and parking. They even have a really decent cafe with tons of lunch options. The layout of the zoo is great, offers lots of easy walking and plenty of fresh air. TONS of huge leafy trees so you feel like you are walking in a forest. Bathrooms were clean... More

Zoo is well laid out. You do not have to walk 9 miles to get to the next exhibit. Plan your excursion with available maps. Animal inmates seem to be well cared for. Although I do not like to see animals in cages, in this current life, some species would be extinct if not for zoos. Food is fairly priced,... More

We spend a lot of time here, thanks to our zoo pass. It's open and inviting. Plenty of room to roam with kids. We always end with the train.

The Milwaukee County Zoo was great! Big zoo, lots to see and do. We went as soon as the park opened, and glad we did because it got really busy as the day went on!
