We hand-craft award winning distilled spirits in limited quantities using old world methods and traditions which we believe result in a superior product. We’re a bit of an anomaly in the spirits business - we actually make our own products! We’re a handful of people devoted to the craft of distilling and creating the best distilled spirits possible. As Wisconsin's first distillery since prohibition we are anxious to share our unique products and look forward to meeting people who appreciate high quality craft distilled spirits. Give us a try and see for yourself how unique these hand crafted spirits can be. We are pleased to be able to open our distillery to the public everyday for tours. During our approximately 1 hour tour, visitors will learn about our award winning products, how & why we make them and receive a flight of five products to try (complimentary soda is available for non-drinkers). « less

Took the one hour tour of their distillary. I learned so much about Vodka, Whiskey, bourbon. The tour guide was very knowledgable about the whole process of making a good alcoholic beverage. He was very polite when it came to answering questions. 1/2 hour to learn, 1/2 hour to taste. After we learned, we tasted. 6 different liquors. The guide... More

Think you know the rules for Bourbon? Or the truth about Absinthe? You gotta talk to Anselm. He knows. Great tour!

We found this little gem after looking for a tour for the non-beer drinkers in the group. We signed up for the 1pm tour and got there early enough to enjoy a couple of cocktails before the tour started (though you can bring your cocktail with you on the tour), our guide was very knowledgeable about the product and distilleries... The distillery is small, but the tour provides a lot of good information. And the real reason that you do a tour is for the samples anyway. My favorite is the kinnickinnic whiskey, we just stopped in and bought two more bottles.

We enjoyed the tasting, of course. Stayed in the bar after for a Bloddy Mary. Be sure to ask for yours with vodka if that is your preference, or you will get one with gin!

I enjoyed sitting at the bar prior to the tour. The sconnie and kk drinks were both good to our tasting. The tour was VERY small....and pretty much the history you already know. If your going on the tour - only do it because you really want to taste the items...

The "tour" at Great Lakes Distillery is pretty limited, but full of information. I learned more about spirits and how they are made in that hour than I ever knew before. The tour is followed by a tasting of 7 different types of spirits they make, including Absinthe. I'm not a big fan of straight liquor like that, but it... More

We stopped in the distillery before we went on a brewery tour this past Friday. I had a bloody mary which was made with their vodka and very good. My wife tried several of the liquors. She enjoyed the rum but really like the Absinthe. We let with a bottle of that. We did not go on the tour but... More

Arrived at 11am on a Monday, tour was 1pm. We were disappointed but Bobbie suggested she could do a tasting. For $7 pp we spent more than 1.5 hours getting an amazing education on spirits. This included tasting 7 different products. This was a unique experience and well worth the time.
