Although a bit off the beaten track - it is out by 26th street - if you are interested in tropical, desert and show horticulture this is well worth the trouble to get here. Each dome has it's own distinct style and the tropical one has the advantage of birds as well. Check out if there is any special event... More

This is three domes with different environments inside, desert, tropical and a show dome which was closed. Nice plants inside but they are small and take only about 1/2 hour each. Kinda expensive for such a short attraction.

Drove passed the Domes on the highway. They were so distinctive that we had to go back. The gardens on display in the Desert dome and the Tropical dome are definitely worth a visit. As a Southern Californian, I had seen most of the plants in the domes but they were artfully displayed. I would think it would be an... More

One of the three domes, the Show Dome is closed for maintenance and inspection. The Tropical and Desert Domes more than make up for that, though, because they are always changing. Many of the cacti and succulents are blooming in the Desert Dome now. The Tropical Dome has a dinosaur display hidden among the multitude of plants, making it more... More

Three domes each containing different plants. A show dome, a desert dome, and a tropical dome. For residents of Milwaukee, this is probably a welcome retreat throughout the long, cold winters. For residents of desert climes or Florida/Tropics, it could be so much more. The plants are well cared for but not exotic. There is not much educational material. The... More

The conservatory offers winter-weary Wisconsinites and their visitors an opportunity to escape the cold and surround themselves with a little bit of summer. The gardens are beautiful and well-maintained. It was a great place to spend the afternoon.

It was ok. It was just botanical garden in the domes. But need to see the different types of plants and atmosphere these plants live in.

These were like indoor botanical gardens. Beautiful to walk through but the kids got bored toward the end. Would like to have seen a staff member in the domes to answer questions.

Used to take my son here when we lived in Milwaukee. He loved it then and it was a nice as ever. Plants are beautifully maintained and presented very well. Fully accessible. This place is especially lovely on a cold winter day when it is bitter and snow-covered outside - like a trip to a warm place!

At $7 per person, I'm not sure this was worth the money. There are two themed domes (tropical & desert) and one called the Showdome, which appeared to be a beautiful backdrop for photography. The tropical done had replica dinosaurs hidden among the plants that I'm sure kids would enjoy. Parking is plentiful and it is easy to find this... More
