When we visit Milwaukee we always visit the domes, They have three flower domes, with different themes, This year we went and low and behold, they closed it the week before, The place is closed indefinitely, For major repairs. If you plan on the Domes call before you go, to see if they are reopened

We had a great time exploring the conservatory over Christmas. They even had a themed dome decorated for the holidays. It was a great a escape from the colder winter days as we traveled through the Tropical an Desert Domes!

I don't have a problem with the 7$ charge to get in, but when we got to the door they said one dome was closed for inspections? So you can't plan well enough to do this during the week you have to do this on a weekend? And the not willing to adjust the price? Any other time you get... More

My family and I traveled to The Domes on a wintery Sunday. I had never been there and was looking for something to do with small children. I thought it would be a great afternoon trip but it only took us about an hour to see everything. It was okay. Definitely not something that would fill an afternoon. I was... More

Had nothing to do on a cold winter Sunday afternoon and being a resident I figured it was about time I visit the domes. It was only $7 admission. There are 3 different environments, tropical rainforest , desert, and what is called the show dome which had a modle train running through it and average flowers. I found the tropical... More

This is not a large exhibit but it is quite nice, with three domes, each with its own atmosphere. If you have a garden pass that provides reciprocal access you can avoid what I think is an excessively high cost.

Our family of five visited the Mitchell Park Conservatory and really enjoyed ourselves. The seasonal Christmas display was beautiful with so many varieties of Poinsetta plants and a wonderful tree with gingerbread men. We liked both the arid and tropical domes and absolutely loved the butterfly exhibit with so many different kinds flying around and landing on plants just inches... More

It's hard to find a parking place during the farmers market on Saturday Mornings. I'm told these markets end in March. There is nothing quite like the domes anywhere else in Wisconsin( the conservatory in Madison is considerably smaller). Admission is $7 for adults. The domes are free to Milwaukee residents on Monday mornings 9am-12pm. If you can go during... More

The Milwaukee Domes are simply beautiful. One of the domes is always seasoned themed and on my December visit it was Christmas complete with a little gingerbread house and a search and find activity game for the kids The domes even has a coat check as you enter the humit catus house The small but nice gift shop also sells...
