We visited the Domes in December and expected more decorations for the holiday season. That was disappointing. They did have a band playing holiday music which was nice. While there is a lot of overhead involved in maintaining the Domes, it is overpriced.

The plants and displays are very unique and beautiful. I felt like it was bit pricey for what you see. But still worth a visit while visiting Milwaukee

Having not been to "The Domes" in many years we decided to go to the holiday viewing along with their craft fair. Sadly, it was disappointing. I can remember years past when the holiday dome was very extravagant with all kinds of winter and Santa displays, some with moving parts and abundant with holiday flowers and plants! This year it... The Milwaukee Domes are an amazing piece of architecture, it's amazing to think they're nearly 60 years old, they look like a modern piece of architecture! Inside the botanical gardens are relatively small. There is a wide variety of plants and flowers to see, we went in the winter and there was still a lot of life and interesting pieces... More

A most pleasant place to visit. My son took me as my Christmas present. The Domes are extremely unique. They have the largest collection of cacti in the desert dome that I have ever seen in one place, and the rain-forest dome was amazing and extremely enjoyable, as well educational. All in all, a great attraction: Not expensive, easy parking,... More

We attended the Halloween event and it was pretty cool. It was kid-friendly from exhibit to exhibit never too ghoulish for the little ones. I will continue to attend each year I am able.

This is a really well-done conservatory. It's comprised of 3 adjoining domes, each with a different habitat (humid/temperate/arid). Though not large, it's well-sized for the population of Milwaukee. It has an especially well-done cactus exhibit. They also have a number of special events, hosting a farmer's market during the later fall/winter/early spring seasons. We saw a garden train exhibit there... More

I first visited the Domes many years ago with my parents and really enjoyed the uniqueness of the domes. More recently, I have become a Member, because I like their display of desert and tropical plants along with the seasonal Show Dome in one building under 3 separate unique glass domes. You can spend an hour or two here by... More
