It had rained the day before I visited the park, so the ground was trampled and muddy. In anticipation of the thousands of visitors who would be attending, some plywood planks had been put on the ground, a number of porta-potties were in place, and there were even some tents to shelter visitors from the wind. This was the first... More

The Park is on the Lake front. A multi-story building houses collections of materials, such as uniforms from many of our wars in addition to placards explaining what you are seeing. It is a worthwhile place to go. The park also has long walking trails toward the lake. Sometimes, you see kite flying which is always fun. During the summer,... More

One warm Sunny day in July, My friends and I decided to go to Veterans park and take the Segway ride. It is a great way to see what sights are in and around the park. They show you a video to explain how to use them, and then they give you a helmet and put you on the segway... More

Its along the Lake. Huge park and car is allowed on streets and few parking lots are also available. Seen lots of people walking/cycling around the lake. Lot of wind.

The photo with the kites says it all. Right on the water, there is rarely a lack of wind. You can rent kites, bikes, and paddle boats. Bring a picnic and a ball if you don't feel like spending money. It's great family fun all around, especially in the summer when the rest of the city is so hot.

Spent a few hour here watching air show. IT WAS GREAT! The jets flew so low it was ear shattering. The park it self looked great and well maintained.

You're in the "middle" of the city where you can still get a view of the coastal area, the Milwaukee skyline, have options of other recreational activities, and the near the beach. Different scenic areas to see and discover! Parking lot is available, but when it's a nice weathered day in Milwaukee, good luck in parking!
