I went to this park while my girlfriend was attending a conference downtown. I stumbled upon it after my friend (who is from Milwaukee) told me to take the lake front drive. You should do that as well, beautiful overlooks and homes as well. The park is huge. There are a couple of monuments to veterans. One is very large... More

Located on the shore of Lake Michigan, next to the beautiful Calatrava-designed art museum, Veteran's Park is a great place to spend a lazy weekend afternoon, or a more active one. Kite-flying, biking, roller blading, jogging, walking and more are common activities done in the park.

There is a nice walkway around Veteran's Park along the Lakefront. Well maintained. Saw joggers and walkers. Was there in the winter so field covered in snow. . . . fun for snowangels !!

It is located by the War Memorial Building near the lakefront. Very senic and a good place to meet in the warmer months!

Oases of greenery in border of the marina. A place which calls it to a very big tranquillity. To walk by strolling according to the wind. His(her, its) closeness with Lake Michigan gives us an excellent idea of the size of this lake.

This park is clean, well- maintained, and fun. There is no limit to the fun you can have. Parking might be a bit dicey during warmer months, so plan ahead. It's a great place for families, couples, or just groups of friends. It's very near the Milwaukee Art Museum, which is also great. The water is clean, and parts of... More

I was just driving around on business attempting to get my bearings when I noticed a nice park in tucked right off the highway; it was just a nice calming surprise to enjoy while getting to know the area. This was my first time getting to see Lake Michigan and it was quite a view....though I did get back in... More

This is a gorgeous area in Milwaukee, and seemingly unknown as there's never a large amount of people here. I highly recommend stopping by the Gift of Wings Kite Store and picking up a kite, or bringing your own. Great place for picnics or just walking around as well.
