You absolutely cannot visit Manitowoc, WI, without a walk into beauty. West of the Lake is my neighbor, so I am royally blessed. Patterns of loveliness and garden grandeur are just a walk away. Treat yourself and feel like you are in one of Europe's splendid gardens. And bring your camera!

We stopped by the gardens while my brother had a doctor appointment. We were amazed by the gardens. I especially loved the succulent garden. The two tone rock accents was a nice touch.

My mother in law visited and my husband took her and she really enjoyed it, so the next time I went and have to say it was very nice.

Almost missed this garden. Suggested on internet and recommended by hotel. BEAUTIFUL.. Even more-so in September as the colors blended Summer into Fall.. Lovely and Serene.. And it is FREE.. On the lake-shore which adds to the beauty.. Areas to sit and reflect..

Visited mid-September and there was still plenty of flora in bloom. Enjoyable oasis of architecture and well-maintained, themed gardens.

We enjoyed a brief visit while on a weekend trip. The grounds and flowers are very beautiful but if you visit in the morning be aware that there are no paths and you will be walking on grass and will get your feet wet with dew. Bring appropriate footwear. Nice views of the lake

I spent an hour or so around the gardens. They have benches to sit and look at the lake or the flowers. The flowers are beautiful and you can tell that the gardeners take pride in their jobs.

Been by so many times on the bike trail-took the time to stop and see it and glad we did. The amount of work that goes into this beautiful and serene setting is astounding. Take the time to appreciate the history and the views as well as the breathtaking garden/plantings. A Must See in the area. Thank you Mrs. West!!
