We hit this state park on a road trip to see the state parks surrounding the Chicago area. This park was a let down. The campsite was not flat, the beach was a thin strip of sand for which you had to cross a busy road, and the hiking trails were just blazed through brush. Would give it a miss... More

The park is very nice, campsites are great with lots of tress, very well taken care of. It is great for kids because of the big spaces and playground the park offers. The beach (which has a very small sandy area) is right at the exit of the park, super close you can walk there. The lake is beautiful, clean... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Big Foot Beach State Park in July 2014 and were extremely disappointed. At the time they were building a new shower house so they had a trailer with showers instead- which is fine; however, the showers were very dirty and I felt I needed a shower AFTER taking one! I was expecting clean conditions... More

We decided to camp at the park for a Friday and Saturday night. We got to the park and went to our campsite. Our site was pretty decent sized, but most of them were quite small. The shower house was being built so there was a trailer showers in it. The side of the trailer said it was clean /... More

We stayed here in Aug. 2014. All of the typical state park rules and fee's were consistent. The campgrounds seems small, but it served it's purpose for us. We were hanging out outside of the campgrounds all weekend so we pretty much just slept there and hung by a fire in the evening. We had a pop-up and a 26ft... More

This was a very popular place for all the weekend warriors to hand out with their friends and families. Was a very nice and clean park. easy to get around but very crowded.

Maybe the smallest beach I have ever seen as we drove right by it and almost hit folks on the beach, crazy setup they have at this road-side beach off the lake...

The location is great but the only issue is it is very small in size. One of the smallest state park I have ever visited. So it is obvious that in weekends it will be very crowdy and the privacy will be less. Park attendants were helpful and the park also has access to lake Geneva though very small beach.... More

I read pretty much negative reviews of this camp and also the weekend of the triathlon so I didn't have high expectations. I was pleasantly surprised. We were in tent site #30 and were RIGHT by one of the driving paths. (this is a GREAT site if you want to cheer on the athletes as they run by). The host... More

So, you pull into a fenced-in park, go down the street to park, drag all your stuff to a very small, crowded on weekends "State Park" area overlooking a creek, the main street and the only free "beach" on Geneva Lake. The "beach" is pathetic. The width is about 6' by about 75 yards. Good luck.
