Cleaner than it used to be, but still too narrow.

This beach was historically overrun with seaweed, crowded and too narrow. The seaweed has been removed and the beach was less crowded but it's still much too narrow for... read more

The Lake of Lake Geneva is truly beautiful but it is difficult to get a good view of it. The Big Foot Park is one of those rare places (and it is free) to have a spectacular view of the lake. Granted, there is a road between most of the park and lake but during our visit in December it... More

We stopped by here on labor day weekend to visit the Big foot beach. We thought the beach is inside the state park, actually it is located at the opposite side of park entrance and it was unbelievably crowded. But the state park has nice picnic spots, campgrounds & few trail paths. We took an easy trail and enjoyed the... More

Beautiful campground close to Chicago area. We can enjoy so many things near by this campground. 1.Lakeshore path - beautiful walking trail by multimillionaires mansion with nature & interesting story, the unique architecture. 2. Boat, canoe, kayaking, jet ski etc water enjoyment 3. Wine tasting is good. 4. Beautiful sunset on the lake

way too close to the road! crowded, dirty water, no place to sit. avoid on weekends, especially. Lots of local families use.

Went last year with our little Weber grill. Fantastic! This is a little further away from the downtown, but still amazing. It has everything - from camping, to a great picnic area, to fishing and a beach! Bonus: you can watch the sunset over the lake while you're grilling dinner. How amazing is that? You don't have to pay some... More

Most affordable accommodations in town. LOL. Their tent loop is separate from the camper loop, which makes it nice and quiet. Sites are reserveable - which I highly recommend if you're visiting on a weekend. It fills up! Especially if there's a festival in town. During the week, you can have the entire tent loop to yourself. The setting is... More

We travel to several state parks every year and prefer them for their cleanliness and vast trails and nature. This park however is very small smack dab in the middle of a VERY busy city. The beach is across a highly traveled busy street. I wouldnt even call it a beack its a ditch. Very dangerous with young children the... More

This beach was historically overrun with seaweed, crowded and too narrow. The seaweed has been removed and the beach was less crowded but it's still much too narrow for sunbathing and family fun.

In years past, I would have rated this state park below average. It's quite small, so if you are looking to hike or bike in the park, you won't find much. But if you want to camp right in Lake Geneva, this park has a great location. Big Foot Beach itself is not a great beach; it is small and... More
