Lake Geneva is beautiful but needs more to do indoors when the weather isn't great. We enjoyed a beautiful romantic day and then the next day was windy and rainy so there really wasn't anything to do.

We staying at Geneva Inn and walked some of the path; however, the weather had rained a few hours before walking and parts of path were wet. Have previously done the path, a few miles three or four times in the past years. Great homes around the lake-never walked all the way around--21 or 22 miles all the way through... More

We walked from beach in Lake Geneva to Big Foot Beach and back (approx. 2.5 miles). Houses are beautiful and being right on the lake can't be beat. My two teenage kid enjoyed walk also and ice cream shop even more downtown LG. We Purchased one of the Lake Shore walking tour books from shop off beach in Riviera, ($7.00).... More

Still a great way to see all the estates on the lake! When we did it as kids, they put our names in the paper! Easy walk is from Williams Bay to Fontana - about 1-1/2 hours. Park one car near the park in the bay and spot a car in Fontana; have a nice walk and then go to... More

The shore path circles the entire lake. You can rubber neck some marvelous mansions from the path while enjoying the lake views.

This is a great walking path! We did not attempt to make the whole circle around the lake. We did a one hour hike one direction, returning for lunch downtown. Then went for a half hour the other direction. The path both ways is beautiful! Our total 3 hours of walking was very doable. It sure gives you a glimpse... More

My friend and I walked the entire path in one day. It took us about 12 hours at a fairly good pace. We figured in about 1.5 hours for lunch and breaks. Our hike registered at 29 miles, so I believe the literature on the shore path distance is slightly low. If you plan to hike the whole path in... More

This was very scenic, Every landowner added their own flair to their little piece of the pathway. You can walk around the whole lake if you are so inclined. We did about half of it over two days. Seeing the beautiful homes and the lake views was awesome!

It was so peaceful to walk and hear the water lapping the shore. What a great way to relax. Each home has a different kind of material for the walking path, so you need to watch your step. Some places were a little narrow, too. I started at Riviera but didn't make it too far - maybe about 2 miles... More

There was a private walkway along the south edge of the lake going west from town. There are a series of private homes, mansions really, that allow for you to walk along the shoreline in the back of their properties. It is spectacular and not well known
