This lovely 21-mile walking path, around Geneva Lake, takes pedestrians by impressive homes and quiet lakeside neighborhoods. A two-mile swath on the West End offers a manageable stroll, lovely views, and passes landmarks such as the Abbey Resort and Fontana Spa and popular local eateries like Chuck's.

Great trail but WARNING: poorly marked Fontana detour!

I did the whole trail today (Thanksgiving Day 2015). The rain made it not so fun, but the trail is really great. It took me about 8 hours. As a previous reviewer said, at this... read more

I did the whole trail today (Thanksgiving Day 2015). The rain made it not so fun, but the trail is really great. It took me about 8 hours. As a previous reviewer said, at this time of year, you have to walk around a lot of docks stored on shore. The trail was easy to follow the whole way, even... More

The lake shore path is easy to pick up by the beach or in front of the Bella Vista suites hotel and you can it take it either direction, though unless you want to go all the way around (which would take close to a day if you break for lunch -26 miles or something like that), you'll have to... We parked downtown Lake Geneva and turned left on the trail. All the boat slips were on shore, so sometimes difficult to navigate the trail. We walked 1.5 miles, and got to see some big houses before turning around. Plan on going next year to do the whole lake trail.

This is very different historical and beautiful walking trail by Lake geneva. You can enjoy the architecture of the multimillion dollars mansion. Each mansion has unique design.

We parked at the Abby in Fontana, and walked the lake trail around the southern side of the lake. About 11 miles later we stopped in Lake Geneva, staying overnight. Then we walked the lake trail on the northern side back to Fontana and stayed overnight at the Abby.

We've been walking around Geneva Lake since we were young children and it still is one of our favorite places to visit. Beautiful year-round!

This Shore Path is the number one tourist attraction in Lake Geneva and there's a reason for it. The path is BEAUTIFUL and it's all FREE. This path takes you through many peoples backyards so you get to see how the 'other' half lives. Very well I might add. There are some ups and downs along the trail but it's... More

I've done several walks in different places along Geneva Lake and can honestly say it truly is a beautiful lake and to look at the homes is great fun. It's interesting if you walk one way then turn around and head back the way you came so you actually see both sides of the homes. I just walked 2.5 miles... More
