My wife and I attended the New Year's Eve cooking class with another couple while the kids continued our mini vacation at the Timber Lodge. Chef John has really found his niche. He is a great and personable entertainer and guided us through the cooking process in a fun yet informative way. Ingredients were well thought out and prepared and... More

I came for the farmers market and more class and holy cow was it fantastic! My favorite dish from the day was the acorn squash bisque with a wisconsin cheddar basket filled with fresh beets from the local farmers market across the street. There was a wine tasting of Riesling which complimented all of the tasting while cooking. The best... More

Don't be fooled by the name, this is not just a cooking school, it's also great place for a meal! The husband and I joined an evening class (starting at 6pm) yesterday and what a treat it was! We learned how to make tapas in the wonderful company of great people. Chef John is a great host who's not only... More

The food was very good, but what makes this five star is the sum of the experience. From getting to know each other over mimosas or n/a sparkling juice, to the fun and informative visit to the fresh farmers market across the street, to yummy recipes cooked by attendees under the close eye of the Chef, to the great cooking... My thirteen year old child is an aspiring chef. He participated in a kids cooking class at this cooking school. We were highly satisfied with this class. The kids made wonderful items and had a fantastic lunch. The chef was very good with the kids and made this cooking class a very fun experience.

My husband and I joined the Prime Time cooking class at the cooking school. The food was excellent. We started with Parmesan popovers and champagne then it was time to prepare the meal. For this class (18 people) we broke up onto 4 teams. One team made French onion soup, one team a wedge salad with blue cheese dressing and... More

I took my friend her for her 70th birthday and what a time we had. We started off with sparkling wine and parmesan puffs. Then we split into teas to prepare a 4 course meal that we prepared ourselves with the assistance of the Chef who was teaching the class. When it was all ready we sat down in the... More
