Restaurant along with shrine.

Just on the edge of South La Crosse in the bluffs. Restaurant is very nice although somewhat pricey. Walk up to shrine is lovely, as is the shrine.

I went with a friend to have lunch. We wound up spending the entire afternoon! Our lunches were excellent. The only disappointment was that we didn't save room for dessert! Then we walked up the hill to the shrine. They also have a shuttle for anyone not up to the walk. There are statues and gardens all the way up... More

This was a real surprise find in La Crosse. The grounds are wonderful and the buildings new and very nice. There is no fee but they have a gift shop and a dining area. We were there on a fantastic day and it was so pretty to stroll around on the well tended paths. Great place to relax and recharge... More

This a must see when visiting LaCrosse! We had our annual roommate weekend and one of us lives in Onalaska and she said we needed to go. It was a beautiful Fall day. The foliage was gorgeous and the walk was easy. There are carts for those who have trouble walking, however.

It was a beautiful place to visit, enjoyed the walk to the church. We didn't do the tour or attend church, but would definitely do it next time. Anyone who drives through this area should stop and see the beauty in this place. Loved the gift shop!

Though I lived in La Crosse for several years while attending UW-L, I never visited the shrine of Guadalupe until recently. Even if you're not Catholic, this is a wonderful place to visit. It's nestled in the side of a bluff and has a beautiful view of the countryside. The chapel and other building w/ a tower of 576 candles... More

This church is incredible. It's like taking a trip to Europe while still in the states! The beauty is unmatched and its so serene and peaceful... a real spiritual experience. I would highly recommend that anyone go out of their way to stop here! I will be coming back for a longer visit next time.

Beautiful architecture and very nice place to visit. It's a nice place to see and get some good exercise in at the same time. It's a gradual hike with many buildings to see as well as nice gardens. Located in foothills of La Crosse in Wisconsin. I hear it's a great place to eat too. As I hear they have... More

On a beautiful fall day, this place is food for the soul. Serene and beautiful. It is located in the hills of Wisconsin with some spectacular views. We really enjoyed the hike, and it is a hike so wear comfortable shoes.

An amazing visit. You do sense that you are on Holy Ground. Loved the architecture of buildings, the fine sculpture work and just a brilliant layout of walks, gardens, fountains. Plan to return and stay longer. Will be beautiful in Fall.

Thank Tom Z
