I do believe that I have truly found my peace . I love this location among the farm lands and coulees. The shrine is built for solitude and reverance. The choice of motorized or walking the path to the chapel is a light history and religious study of your own pace . I'm very thankful for the offering of votive... More

The Church is absolutely beautiful, a real feeling of spirituality. The walk among nature to reach the shrine offers it's own personal experience, with each section set up with it's own sculptures and meaning. It is a beautiful place to spend the day walking along and meditating.

We spent a wonderful afternoon at this shrine. We walked all the way up the hill with our toddler. There are many things to see on the way up and lots of spots to sit and rest if you are finding the climb a bit difficult. They do have golf carts bringing people up and down - I think they... More

It's a lot of walking, but worth it! Gift shop had a lot of great Guadalupe items. Very friendly people working there. Mass was gorgeous. I'm not religious, but it was very relaxing!

All new construction, not what I was expecting. It's beautiful, I just prefer the historical stuff. It is a nice drive up there, and an impressive group of buildings.

A beautiful shrine to be visited and enjoyed leisurely. Situated high on a hill side, but easily available to anyone, because of the free cart rides offered to the top, if the walk is too cumbersome for some. There is informational video available and tours if desired. The artwork in the church is exceptional and modern. Also on site is... More

The church is beautiful, with lots of meaning behind the adornments. Outside the church are stations of the cross and a rosary walk, as well as a building housing just votive candles. There is also a memorial to the unborn with miscarried babies interred there -- very moving. The book store is large with a good variety of items. Well... More

This site is located across a river valley from the southeast side of LaCrosse. A lot of time and funding has been donated to create this quiet spot for reflection. There is a paved path that leads past the stations of the cross and to the main chapel.

We visited here over the summer. It is such an amazing place! It makes you feel like you are in a cathedral in Italy. The story behind the whole construction of it is very interesting. A wonderful place to sit and meditate. I definitely feel it is a must see for anyone in the area.

The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe is a beautiful place for a spiritual visit. Not only will you enjoy the gorgeous setting, but you'll love the walk up the hill to the Shrine, the separate candle building, the fantastic architecture and artwork inside and outside the Shrine, the Stations of the Cross and Holy Rosary Walk. We've been here... More
