If you are are visiting the area and only have time for a couple stops, this should be one of them. Great overlook of the city and surrounding area. You really can see for miles up and down the valley. We were there during some fog and couldn't see much at all but luckily had time to come back when... More

It's a really long, winding drive to the top of the bluff. I've heard that some people have walked up....I can't imagine that or recommend it!! When you get to the top there are guard rails around so you can walk out on the bluff and see the view. There is also a seating area and restrooms. There are also... More

After Lunch we ventured across town to Grandad's Bluff. Some may say you've s seen one bluff you have seen them all , but this is a bluff you need to see. Stunning vista of the Mighty Miss. Easy stroll to the top, although we chose not to walk out to the furthest observation point. Heights are not my strength,... More

Found this site on Trip Advisor during a recent road trip. We loved it!! On a clear day you can see 3 States -. Wisconsin, Iowa and Illinois. Real beauty in the La Crosse/Great River Road stop offs.

Wow! This is a beautiful place for a wedding. The weather was perfect that day, the view was outstanding! The wild flowers along the trail were so pretty too.

The trip up the long and winding road was as cool as the view at the top. No fee park admission and you drive right up to the top. You do have to walk about 200 feet to the lookout points but it is a paved sidewalk and a very easy walk. Sunsets and sunrises would be wonderful from this... More

We ate at a local restaurant (Stingy's) and our waitress told us to go here. It was so beautiful...not just the view but the actual park/location of the bluff. There is a lovely newish stone area w/ a fireplace and I saw people w/ a picnic...AWESOME idea. Also - really nice newish bathrooms. VERY SAFE b/c heights freak me out... More

We drove up the windy road, towing a small trailer and had no problem finding a place to park on the side of the road. There was a parking area within a quarter mile where larger vehicles could park. The view was outstanding and worth the trip. You can see the UW LaCrosse campus and the Mississippi River. Don't miss... More
