This place has enough cheese and sausage to keep all of America's heart doctors busy. Great selection of all things from America's Dairy land. If you are lucky they will have fresh cheese curds and if they do BUY THEM, they won't last long. Plan a pit stop at the cheese castle - you won't regret it.

On our visit to our daughter in Spring Grove,Il, we had a nice experiance @ Mars Cheese Castle. We had lunch at the restaurant & did some cheese and dessert sampling. Purchased some goodies for the home & holiday gifts as well. A must see if in the area !

I guess I high really high expectations of the Cheese Castle. What I found was a large convenience that had a small bakery and huge selection of cheese. I do not have anything bad to say, the place was clean and the people friendly, but it just did not blow my doors off.

My first time at the Castle was fun. I spent a lot of money quickly but they had many varieties of samples to try. Lots of chocolate, beer, and cheese choices and novelties.

Picture perfect. A pleasure to shop at. Wide variety of any cheese you could want and more. Fresh, clean and friendly. A must stop, at least once but you'll be back.

There is something for everybody here. There is a great cheese selection and baked goods and sausage and wine and beer. That being said , I think you should go there as your leave the state to stock up or to get ideas when you enter the state as I think you can get the same things cheaper in-state. Ok... More

The great thing about Mars is you can try before you buy and you don't have to purchase a huge piece of cheese! The employees are there to help also! This has given us many opportunitites to open our eyes on new cheeses and/or cheeses we have had but different varieties of it. It has a great Wisconsin souvenir section... More

They have excellent cheese bread, kringles, curds, spreads, and other tourist paraphernalia. This place was recommended by my boss. Was fortunate enough to visit 2x in 2 weeks. Girlfriend loved it too.
