This is a very visible attraction on I-94. The facility is a combination of a cheese specialty shop, bar, deli, gift shop. Of course, there is a large selection of cheeses, plus assorted meats and candies. The small deli area has a couple of tables, and offers hot & cold sandwiches. Not very inviting. The bar area is somewhat separated... More

It is completely understandable too. It is on the Wisconsin- Illinois border and drew us Chicagoans in after a weekend in Green Lake. I came in here specifically to grab New Glarus Spotted Cow beer. I am pretty sure it was overpriced. They have a good selection of specialty brews. As a beer connoisseur I was pleasantly surprised that they... More

We stopped on the way back to Chicago from Waupun. Prices are high, but not surprisingly since it is basically a tourist trap, but that's not what I had a problem with. The cashier Linda was totally confused and didn't have a clue what she was doing. It took her 15 minutes to check me out. I got 4 candy... More

We stopped to browse cheese and eat dinner. There isn't a true restaurant, more of a deli counter, so we went elsewhere for dinner. We did really enjoy sampling and purchasing lots of types of cheeses and sausages. The bakery section was also yummy! Bread, kringle, kolachky, and so much more. All was delicious!

Very touristy, but still a neat place to visit. They offered a great variety of items, but not as much cheese as I expected. Hot sauces, beers, ciders, souvenirs, and some of the best cheese popcorn I have ever had (wish they sold that online!). Stop in if you're driving by.

I live near Kenosha, and I'm a regular customer of the Castle. Fun, fantastic inventory that's always a blast to explore. They sell a ton of WI cheese aimed at tourism, which is exactly what shoppers are looking for, but these folks are serious about cheese. If you see employees Mike or Anthony, just ask them what they like in... More

Great selection of local beers, wines and liqueurs. The cheese selection was good. I would have been happier with more cheese samples. There is a bakery, deli, restaurant, store and tavern. Something for everyone in your family.

I live in Wisconsin so...I have been to a few cheese shops! As far as cheese shops go this one had a lot of items and a very diverse selection. It's most likely the largest cheese shop that I have been to. It was clean, well stocked and newer looking!

This is a cheese shop snack bar and bar all rolled into one. The bar tender was above average. The food was slow to get to us. It wasn't tasty.

We were visiting the area and a co-worker told me about this place. They have a large variety of cheese, sauces a bakery and gift shop! Easy to get to and it's a very nice place
