Last chance to get your Wisconsin FIX before leaving. Excellent variety of WI beer, cheese, sausage and souvenirs. It can be extremely crowded at times so give yourself extra time to stand in line. They offer a higher quality of WI food fare and more. We went this time for the large selection of New Glarus Brewery products (Monroe, WI).... More

A lot of cool items, not limited to cheese. Tourist trap-ish, can be an expensive stop. And honestly have tasted better cheese elsewhere

Very clean and well maintained cheese store with lots of variety and great quality cheese produces. It also has a restaurant and sells wine and beer. Very nice place and one should visit if interested in quality cheese!

I loved this stop. They have a little of everything, food, drinks, shopping, bakery, cheese, gifts and of course restrooms. I will never pass this by, I'll always stop. We were on a bus trip so it as a wonderful break and we were able to have a drink. It just doesn't get any better for a short stop.

This was a cute specialty gift shop that had a variety of things from WI shirts and typical tourist things to amazing breads and cheeses. I picked up the pretzel rolls to put our bratwurst sausage in and wow. It was really good. You also should try their cheese bread. Mmmm. Lastly the cheese selection was amazing. You can test... More

Tourist trap, but a nice tourist trap if you want to eat free cheese and bakery samples, have a brot and a very good Dang Butterscotch root beer, or sample some geek beer in the tavern. Also sells a lot of gift shop stuff, some of it cheese related like spreaders and domes, and much of it not like t-shirts,... More

I've been going to Mar's Cheese Castle since I was a child and that's a LONG time. It used to be a friendly, crowded little hole; bar, cafe and shop. Being from the western suburbs of Chicago, Mar's would sometimes be a daytrip destination. Now their in their new building, necessary because of Interstate construction and it is the old... More

once again we were just passing by on the Freeway when we saw this.. What fun, we bought cheese, t-shirts,a hat and some plastic cheese wedges. The young man there was really nice and told us how the Cheese Castle came about, when it was started and when the new 'Castle' had been built...but not why it was a Castle.... More
