An overdue survey delayed by my hectic travelling during the past 4 months taking me to Indianapolis, Chicago, Milwaukee, Kenosha, Waukesha, Frankfurt (Germany), and Southern Spain (Malaga, Marbella, Córdoba, Granada and Ronda) just to name a few places. I am confining my impression and experience to one place only ‘MARS CHEESE CASTLE’ because of its distinctive disposition. The eye-catching castle... More

Chocolate cheese? Got it. Blueberry cheese? That's there too. Wisconsin fails to disappoint with a shop like this within their borders. Cheeses of all types. You can even order online. If you go there, it's more than just a store, it's a must see attraction. Walk around and ask for samples to your hearts content, just be careful not to... More

Cheese is everywhere. Not your normal cheese. A delicious cheese! Great place for taking your child out, cheese for him, and beers for the parents!

Everyone should stop at a cheese castle if they see one! Lots of free samples, choices and all of which were good. I had my children with me and my 5 yr old was so excited we told him he could get a mini souvenir mug. Unfortunately while standing in line to buy it, he dropped it and they made... More

We really enjoyed the old hole-in-the-wall original but the new building still has a great assortment of cheeses, sausages, craft beers, soft drinks, mustards, snacks and tacky souvenirs to create a decent sized hole in your wallet. The assortment of cheeses is great and the staff is knowledgeable. Lots of samples to check out while you are there. Usually they... More

On a return trip we used free drink tokens from our stop before and enjoyed their cheese spread & crackers tray. Great food and fun gift shop always a delight.

This place has enough cheese and sausage to keep all of America's heart doctors busy. Great selection of all things from America's Dairy land. If you are lucky they will have fresh cheese curds and if they do BUY THEM, they won't last long. Plan a pit stop at the cheese castle - you won't regret it.

On our visit to our daughter in Spring Grove,Il, we had a nice experiance @ Mars Cheese Castle. We had lunch at the restaurant & did some cheese and dessert sampling. Purchased some goodies for the home & holiday gifts as well. A must see if in the area !

I guess I high really high expectations of the Cheese Castle. What I found was a large convenience that had a small bakery and huge selection of cheese. I do not have anything bad to say, the place was clean and the people friendly, but it just did not blow my doors off.
