This destination has been on my "to-do" list, for years. Finally, we were able to casually wander through the beautiful gardens, during a sunny summer morning. There are several areas to visit, each with a different theme, focus, or type of vegatation. Benches beckon you to just sit and marvel at the beauty. Volunteers were diligently taking care of their... More

I'm not really a flower person, other than for photography, but this botanical garden is a must see. Every area is so well done, it's one of the most picturesque places I've seen. Be sure to get a map so you don't get lost, and check out all the creatures that live here. If you get tired, just have a... More

This place is the "Willy Wonka" of Christmas! I take my kids here every Christmas, it's one of our traditions now. You feel like you're in a different magical world, 1,000's of lights everywhere. It's the most beautiful X-mas thing you could ever experience. And depending on the night, they have a Santa Clause (and it's free, unlike the mall... More

This is my favorite garden next to the Allen Centennial Garden in Madison. I take many pictures with my IPhone and they turn out quite well. There is a lot to see here so relax and take your time. Every year they choose a theme, this year it's Adirondack chairs and chosen artists paint them. They are especially amazing this... More

I had the opportunity to visit the Rotary Botanical Gardens this spring while in Janesville for business. What an extraordinary place! I learned that each year the Gardens take on a different theme - this year it involves the color Pink. A fantastic place to stretch ones legs - a very nice visitor center with wonderful gift shop and amenities.... More

I drove about an hour to see this beautiful Rotary Park today to compare it with what my Rotary Club does in one of our local parks. No comparison. The Janesville park is a gem, with an assortment of beautiful gardens, rocks, fountains, ponds, benches and a great variety of well maintained plantings, all situated on the site of a... More

We were in town for the UW-Whitewater graduation and wanted a nice place to walk in the morning before our departure for home. The motel clerk said there were many nice parks in town, but that the best and nicest was the Rotary Botanical Garden. She was right. The entrance fee was only $5.00 and well worth the price. We... Such a delightful walk in Janeville's well-cared for and presented Botanical Gardens. Water features, bridges and plentiful trees added to the beauty. Benches with quotations are conveniently placed in the various themed areas. We were happy with well-marked plants. Many proud volunteers were tending the gardens during our visit. We'd like to return.
