Nice "road side attraction". Probably gets better the more into fishing you are. The giant muskie is fun for some pictures, about a third of the inside is nothing but names of contributors to the museum. Several giant fish dot the grounds, again, pretty fun for some pictures. The heart of the museum has a bunch of lures, outboard motors,... More

We visited Hayward and stopped in at the museum with our two kids. My last time visiting was about 30 years ago with my parents so I felt compelled to return. I don't think the museum has changed much in the past 30 years. The exhibits are pretty basic and include old fishing motors, old rods, old reels, and taxidermy... More

My husband wanted to go to this museum because he wanted to see the biggest Muskie fish. The museum has a lot of detail for someone who is into fishing but there is only so much you can handle when you see hundreds of lures, motors, and fishing poles. The giant Muskie that you can go inside of and get... More

Local attraction has been in the area forever but grounds are very clean and well kept .Lots of local lore and old collections of fishing equipment .A tribute to men and women that have made an impact in the fishing word

We drove to the Fishing Hall of Fame, but didn't go in since they charged $7 per person and for 8 people, that would have added up very fast. Disappointing that they didn't have a family rate.

This structure is HUGE! Inside this Musky structure are all kinds of fishing related items. You also have a great view of the nearby Hayward Lake from the open Musky's open mouth with teeth. This structure is surrounded by a small park for kids with other fish structures. This attraction is rather famous, so you get bragging rights if you... More

It rained all week we visited, so we wanted to be inside somewhere. We have known about this place forever, but wanted to take the kids, and a rainy day seemed to be a perfect day for it. We had a lot of fun and the kids got to stand in the mouth of the giant musky.

If you want to see a museum full of fishing memorabilia, this is your place. It takes you back to the 30's, 40's, and 50's to see what up north fishing was like. Nice displays with easy access. And of course, there's the BIG fish out front...you can walk up to the top (mouth) -- a good place for picture... More

Bit costly to go. Leg fish need attention like paint. Kids area has a grave kids can play in. Building in the large musky good view of the area at the top. Kids can also fish but fish know the game so no one there caught anything. I even was able to drag the hook with feed on the end... More

Great big giant musky building , got it . It's got a lot of lures and classic fishing equipment all over the place . Very interesting for an avid fisherman and not too bad for a field trip . I don't think it's what I'd call right for family fun during a vacation though . The musky's mouth me and... More
