Partake in a laid back experience that usurps the snobbery out of wine while enjoying a unique tasting education. This pre-civil war house has been updated carefully to recapture 150 years of character. Plaster crown molding, the original fireplace and hardwood floors complement openings that offer viewing of the production room and cellars. « less

Housed in a pre-civil war villa with a rooftop widow's walk (now more cheerily dubbed as Captain's Walk), and lookout tower facing Green Bay, this winery has a lot of charm. The wine tasting bar was over 100 years old. The tour offers a short trip to the era cellar and storage rooms. 7 samples for $3. Don't miss a... More

Three of us biked the Fox River Trail from downtown Depere about 5 miles north to Captain's Walk Winery. The winery is only 2 blocks east of the trail - a very short and convenient walk. For the wine tasting we got to select 7 wines to taste which was more than enough for us lightweights. A few tables are... More

It was okay and the staff was certainly friendly enough but my husband and I have been to several wineries and either the teasing was free or with the purchase of a keepsake wine glass. We were a little disappointed after spending $94 that they wanted to charge an additional $10 each for the wine glasses. Other than that, they... More

I was pleasantly surprised at the number of different wines available for sampling. The staff was very helpful and did allow time to taste the 7 different wines. We found several we enjoyed and purchased a supply for at home to enjoy. Recommend stop when visiting Green Bay, WI.

what a pleasant afternoon when we happened to stop in Captain's Walk. Seven wines are included in the tasting, The staff was both pleasant and informative. They have whites and reds. Wine is such a personal issue but we all found one or more that we liked and bought a few bottles for our tailgate. Recommend to visit here if... More

Especially liked the Naughty Girl red wine. Found that it was pricey to ship home. The tasting was fun and reasonable. Our guide was knowledegable and friendly. Easy to find in town.
