Description: A venue for vinifera, the Captain's Walk Winery offers premium grape wine...
A venue for vinifera, the Captain's Walk Winery offers premium grape wine tasting in a light-hearted manner. Partake in a laid back experience that usurps the snobbery out of wine while enjoying a unique tasting education. This pre-civil war house has been updated carefully to recapture 150 years of character. Plaster crown molding, the original fireplace and hardwood floors complement openings that offer viewing of the production room and cellars.

First off? I don't know ANYTHING about wine. Quite honestly, the last thing I thought I would be doing on a Saturday afternoon was tasting wine. When it came down to it though? Nobody made me feel dumb. The guy who served us had a good sense of humor. He talked wine with the girls and joked around with us.... More

We were in Green Bay recently for Family Day, and looking for something interesting to do. Captain's Walk Winery was a great choice. They offer wine tastings that don't disappoint, have a nice little bistro for food offerings, and you can buy a bottle or two and drink it right there. I particuarly recommend their ciders. Both we tasted were... More

My husband and I stopped in after seeing this online. We ordered the carafe of Sangria and got free chips and salsa. I have to say, the sangria was tasty and the salsa was amazing! They have a wine tasting area inside and some little gifts you can purchase. If you have some time after you visit the farmers market,... More

Fun event for friends in nice atmosphere to taste some wines at a leisurely pace. Most grape wines imported to the winery for bottling. They have a few grape field up in Door county. Closed on Mondays.

Perfect add to downtown Green Bay; not to mention great wine. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Sample wine, make your own wine, host an event, attend an event or just go there to buy some wine, you won't be dissappointed.

Spent an afternoon wine tasting in Green Bay. The tasting bar was crowded which is usually a good sign. When we arrived they asked if we had a Groupon, which we didn't. Heads up - check out Groupon for a tasting coupon. We had a nice gal pour our wines. This was our second stop and although the wine was... More

Good varieties. Two different tasting options. Wished we would have had a little more info given to us about wines from the server, but they were very busy at the time we were there. Captain's Red was favorite wine. Also liked their new Hard Cider.

Visited "The Captain" and tasted his goods. They offer a $3 (7-wine) special to the visitors. Most of the wines are of the dry variety and even the "dessert wine" was still drier than we like. So if you are a dry wine aficionado we suggest you stop by. Otherwise i would try another winery. Bottles range from $12 to... More

Just found this gem. Disappointed it took almost two years of living only 5 miles away to discover it. The wine is wonderful. The atmosphere is nostalgic. The service was way above average!! Thank you Jim! I will definitely make it a destination when I need to just go relax and unplug.

We came to this winery expecting a wine tasting experience. We had it. No problem about that. Wine was good. However, after going to Door county, the experience there was a lot more complete and for a few of them free of charge, in an environment which is a lot more "natural". The personnel was kind, but there was too... More

Hi There, I'm sorry that we did not exceed your expectations, and I apologize if you had to wait for service. Regarding the "natural" feel, we wanted to be part of downtown Green Bay and love historic buildings. Revitalizing this location was the best means to accomplish those two goals, and it meant that we could save an old building... More
