Took our grandson to the zoo for his first visit. This is a small town zoo but there is plenty to keep a family busy for hours. Parking is close and free. Admission to zoo is reasonable. If you live in the area the family yearly zoo pass is inexpensive and allows you to bring others with you. In summer... More

If you go into this zoo with realistic expectations I believe that you will be happy. The zoo is small. While we are avid zoo goers, I would plan on 2-3 hours for this one. There are many small animals that you can hand feed (bring your quarters). The goats are not aggressive, the alpaca an koi also enjoy the... More

The zoo is on the smaller side but still large enough to fill four hours or so. The animals all seemed well cared for and happy and the staff was friendly. Parking was easy and was across the street which was no issue since the zoo is in the boon docks so to speak. The perk of the zoo being... More

We have been to this zoo numerous times with our young granddaughters and we have all enjoyed our time here. This zoo is on a smaller scale but just perfect for us - numerous educational exhibits and a great children's area to play and feed the animals. Clean surroundings and helpful employees. A new addition of zip lining will be... More

Very nice place to go with younger children. Very neat and clean and low priced. Lots of exotic animals. Even the food is not overpriced.

Having been to a fair few zoos before, I've become accustomed to the repetition of seeing the same animals. Not so at NEW Zoo. Sure, they have all the popular animals, such as prairie dogs and lions, though they are in enclosures that provide optimal viewing angles for the public and space for the animals. The giraffes were a lot... More

Took my girl scout troop ages 12 & 13, we only had 1 1/2 hours, we spent a lot of the time giving treats to the giraffe's which were inside since it was under 45 degrees. The building stunk but what do you expect from a barn of giraffes? I do not remember the inside area from my visit probably... More

good prices for a smaller zoo, not a lot of animals to see but if you have little kids and dont want a big place to walk since they get tired so quickly this would be a great place and you get to feed the giraffes!!!!!!

Enjoyed our day at the New Zoo despite several animals not being out and some empty exhibits. This is a smaller zoo but you are much closer to the animals than at many zoos. Feeding the giraffe was a fun and out-of-the-norm experience. It was amazing to be that close to such a majestic animal and the cost was very... More
