Do it. It is worth it

A long climb up but worth the views. We were lucky to see soaring birds the day we climbed to the top. On a clear day the view was awesome.

This is a healthy climb and maybe not for those afraid of heights! Great view though and worth the trip.

One of the best views of Door County is the view of Green Bay. You have a 180*view of water. This view is spectacular in Fall with ll of the autumnal colors at peak.

Climb this tower and you are up where the eagles fly! No kidding. Great views any season, but especially in the fall with all the colorful leaves. Hold on to your hat. It may be calm on the ground, but it is almost always windy up there. If you concentrate, you can actually see fish swimming in the shallows of... More

We came here in the summer of 2014 and this tower had excellent views! So sad to see that it was closed for structural concerns. Hopeful that they will build a new one!

Sorry to say, it is now closed. They need better signs telling people at the entrance. Many people didn't know until they got there. It needs major repairs or might be rebuilt. We understand as it has served millions of people over the years.

There is a great view from the top of the tower and it is not a difficult climb. Unfortunately the tower is closed for safety reasons with no plan to repair or reopen.

We hiked to Eagle Tower from highway 42. The hike is about an hour and 10 minutes and so beautiful. It was disappointing to find out that Eagle tower is closed due to structural damage and may not reopen. You can also drive through the park right to Eagle tower and park there. Without climbing up the tower there isn't... More

The tower has been shut down. Too bad. So many memories. You can still take pictures of it from the ground. Take its trail - Eagle Trail. Very exciting. I still rated it high because if you ever have been to the top - you know how special it is. Hopefully, funds can be raised to replace it.
