We took a quick turn off of 42 when we saw a sign advertising a scenic overlook. Sometimes these are the best things to see on vacation! This did not disappoint. A few climbs down some stairs and out onto a small bridge and we had a gorgeous overlook of the bluffs and the Lake. There are also picnic tables... More

What prompted us to go to Ellison Bluff? The fact that it is hardly mentioned in any promotional material regarding Door County. My suspicious side thinks this might be on purpose, as this beautiful and serene picnic area offered one of the best views of Green Bay I have seen in many years of coming to Door County. Maybe they... More

This a a nice scenic side stop and the view of green bay was worth a detour. The first lookout points are easily accessible. We did not do the entire hiking loop or stop for a picnic but the site was well maintained and clean.

This was my first stop during my first ever trip to Door County. It happened to be a rainy October day. I wasn't aware of a way to get down closer to the water so the photo you see on this site is the same view I saw and pretty much the same photo I captured with my camera. There... More

We drove off the main highway to see this park and while it is nice, it is fairly small with a rather nice, but limited view. Yes, you high and on a nice day you can see clear across the bay! It's a great natural area and that is probably why there are so many trees around. That's not a... More

Perfect for a view of the sunset before heading out to dinner. There is a good sturdy set of stairs that get you down closer to the water, but not all the way to the water's edge. There are some benches halfway down that offer a great view.

The park has a nice view of Green Bay. The trail is clear with crushed stone, a nice backwoods hike.

Great place to stop for a few minutes and take in the views from the bluffs. It's a few miles off the main road, on a gravel road, but worth the drive.

Beautiful views from several spots overlooking Green Bay. Adequate parking, restrooms. Easier access to overlook with graduated steps and landings. Nice for anyone, like me, with walking and arthritis issues. Benches in several spots also. Trails for the more adventurous.

Standing on the bluff overlooking the bay is worth many good photos! Not far off the highway and well worth the visit.
