Relaxed atmosphere, amazing wine and spectacular food. Make sure to have plenty of time after your tasting to grab a bite to eat and a glass of wine from the tapas bar. Highly recommend this stop if you are in Door County.

Several of their wines are worth trying including the value priced field blends to their very good Port. It is a charge to sample and on several visits the staff was either overwhelmed or disengaged (today was a little of both). The wine is sold in Main Street Market in Egg Harbor.

Enjoyed a fun afternoon in the tasting room with Devon, a lovely young lady who chose excellent wines for each of us to taste. Then enjoyed a glass of wine with the owner, who made us instantly feel like family. He showed us around & we spent time sharing stories!!! Great wines & a pretty setting to enjoy them. See... More

This winery makes wine, but doesn't grow grapes unlike some of the winery/vineyards in Door County. There were more choices for wine tasting, but it wasn't local. The old barn for tastings and the wine bar is very cool. Our antipasto platter was a great savory sweet mix with Wisconsin cheese and meats. We thought it was pretty expensive ($27... More

Karib93, Let’s do the math: There are 11 acres of producing vineyards in all of Door County. Each acre produces less than 1 ton, 11 tons maximum yield. Each ton produces roughly 140 gallons which then produces approximately 61 cases or 732 bottles times 11 equals 8,052 bottles. There are over 900,000 bottles sold in Door County yearly; roughly 350,000... More

Did the Trolley wine tour and stopped at a back roads bar after. Got talking with a local about our day. Lucky for us! He suggested we take the time to check out Stone's Throw if we really wanted a top notch experience. He was right. Do the $10 tasting. Gets you their best. Tom, our server, was excellent. After... Read some of the negative reviews and can understand some of them. Primarily, not being greeted can be offensive for some, but I don't believe it's in malice. They are busy and have other folks that ask countless questions, like me, and can overlook someone standing in the room. Best thing to do is walk-in, stand at an available area... More

Kahn2, Thank you for your great review… we enjoy answering all questions and pride ourselves on educating our customers. Yes, it does get busy, but we try to greet all who enter. Visit us in late October when we taste with both cheese and chocolate. Sincerely, Russell Turco More

We stumbled across this winery about 17 years ago and were thrilled to find that they had a very hearty (red) zinfandel. After several trips back, we decided to join their wine club which gets us a couple of bottles shipped to our house several times a year and also free tastings and an annual free tour. The staff and... More

Wineries usually pride themselves of using their our grapes to produce their wines but once in a while, you find some smarter producers who find a way to outperform the competition. That is what we found at this winerie, we had sampled other wines from the region before visiting wiht Stone Throw Wines and had not been very impressed so... More

We stopped in on a whim. Our wine "cellar" is over flowing so we agreed to stop buying wine. Stone's Throw made us drink those words. Another reviewer said the wines were from California but they were mistaken. The grapes are from California the wine is made in Wisconsin. We thoroughly enjoyed the wines we sampled and will enjoy sharing... More

First of all the wine is beyond fantastic. It was like we were in Napa Valley again except this time in WI where nearly everybody is friendly. The owner was there pouring wine and conversing with his customers and always said 'Thank you' to anyone who was finished and leaving. The food was great, though the menu is quite small.... More
