Good experience

My husband and I came here for a tasting and we had a good experience. I think it was $6 to taste 5 samples...that seemed like a lot to me, but you do get to keep the wine glass... read more

Went here on our self guided winery tour of Door county and we were happy we didn't miss this place. It was the most expensive tasting winery we had selected as most wineries in Door County are fruit flavored wines. This winery uses California grapes they told us. We bought a bottle of their sparkling wine, it has an almond... More

My husband and I visit Door County at least a couple of times per year and Stones Throw Winery is a "must do" for us. The wines are more along the lines of something you would find in Napa but the tasting fee is much lower than the $25-30 fees you would pay in California. The staff is knowledgeable and... More

My wife and I visit Door County every year during the early fall. Each year we enjoy visiting winery’s on the peninsula. This year we visited the Stones Throw Winery located at 3382 Co Rd E in Baileys Harbor. We took part in a wine tasting for a minimal fee which included both white and red wines of your choice.... Wine tasting is $12 and you keep the glass. All the wines are from California. This winery does not enter any competitions; the other ones we visited were very proud of their medals. Very limited conversation about the wines.

We sampled 3 different wines and ended up purchasing a 4 pak of white wines, that we consumed in early September at home. We should have purchased more wine, since we thoroughly enjoyed them with meals at home.

Of all the wineries we visited in the Door County, this one probably had our favorites. They have a very cool tasting room. They also have a wine and tapas bar on site.

Arrived on a busy Saturday afternoon - the place was very crowded, as were all the wineries in Door County that day. Staff went out of their way to make sure we got the wine we wanted to purchase.

Perfect sunny day spent at Stone's Throw Winery. Bocce ball followed by a fabulous cheese plate and bottle of wine while enjoying a great live music. I couldn't have asked for a better day. This was my second trip to Stone Throw and it was perfection!

Visited Door County for the weekend and the wife wanted to do some wine tastings. Stopped at this one and we are glad we did. For starters our wedding song was playing when we walked in, so we did a tasting and the owner over heard us say that was our song so they played it again and offered a... More
