For an enjoyable afternoon, try visiting this unique eclectic building in downtown Eau Claire. The building itself is one of the older ones left and it was for many years a furniture store. If you're looking for something, anything, you'll probably find it here! They have everything from old advertisements to vintage music to clothing. Some of the books had a very moldy smell, but overall, there was some really cool vintage items!

I have been going to the emporium for many years, I can't imagine what a first timer must think. There is an extensive taxidermy collection with many exotics including a full hyena, kudu, wildebeest, and a set of elephant ears, and of course a two-headed calf. Lots of old stuff. Smells old. Not much for the average consumer to buy but there are many interesting things to look at.

You never know what you might find! Part of a clarinet, a human skeleton, cute hats, bizarre artwork, or ostrich taxidermy, it's all here. For better, or for worse.
