My friend and I did something like a four hour excursion to see the sea caves. First of all, the guides seemed VERY friendly and knowledgeable. However, due to the fact that lake superior is so unpredictable, there's a very good chance that at no fault to the guides you will not be able to see the more impressive sea... More

Thank you for your thoughts. As we always say around here, "The lake is the Boss". You could wait 10 years before the lake is frozen enough to safely walk out there again during the winter too, so you never know. All Readers should be aware of their options when the lake is rough. Be sure to read the policies... More

The reservation system for this place is unreliable. I followed the directions and completed the online reservation portion and received an email from a staff member that said "I put you in our system for September 10th for a Sand Island in a Day Trip. However, your reservation is only partially completed as of right now. We need you to... More

When using our online reservation form you will receive an immediate automatic reply email which says (to paraphrase) "Thank you for your reservation request...you're reservation is not confirmed until we have received payment over the phone..." I contacted this reviewer directly because I thought it unfair to write a poor review on a reservation that was not yet made. If... More

My husband and I took a half-day tour late Sunday afternoon over Labor Day weekend. Our guides Tom and Rob were safety conscious and patient with all participants with different levels of ability. We were lucky to have very still water the evening we went out. The scenery is of course beautiful. I was concerned about my ability to keep... More

My wife and I decided to try kayaking in the sea caves as the grand finale of our 15yr wedding anniversary trip. The Lost Creek Adventures business in Cornucopia provides the kayaking hardware needed and have wetsuits available (optional). They also have bathroom/changing room facilities and a selection of gifts/accessories in their store. Nick and Tessa were our guides for... More

We took a half-day tour with Eric. The weather was overcast and cloudy but perfect for this trip. We were in a group of six in tandem kayaks. We did a safety instruction first before heading out on the water. Eric did a great job showing us all of the little inlets and caves and we got to kayak through... More

I had an excellent time touring the sea caves with our guides Erik and Greg. Our group had a variety of kayaking experience and they were calm and patient with the beginners, and lenient and watchful with the more experienced kayakers. The caves were amazing and if you have not seen them before I would highly recommend going with an... More

A very nice introductory trip for kids. Our guided trip to the Roman's Point caves left from a point a short walk from the facility. The open top kayaks offer a great start for young paddlers. Although the caves are not as impressive as those inside the national park, they provide a great chance to whet the appetite of a... More

Our original plan was a full day trip to Sand Island, but the weather did not cooperate. There was room for us on a shorter trip to see the caves along the shore line at Meyers Beach. Tom was our guide and he did a great job. We decided to go forward with the trip as planned as a group... More

Thank you for your review and your understanding, it is much appreciated. Those windy days (I remember yours specifically) can be a bummer, but if you hold the expectation that "The Lake Is The Boss" like you obviously do, you can have a great time regardless. Thanks again and we'll see you next time! Sincerely, Greg Weiss, Owner More

My husband and I recently took the half day sea caves tour and had a wonderful time! The lake was very calm, so we were able to go into several of the caves, some so narrow that I wasn't sure that our tandem kayak would fit (it did). Will and John were friendly, cheerful, and knowledgeable guides that went out... More

If you are looking for a fun safe adventure, this is it. The staff is very professional and safety is their #1 concern. Our guide was awesome. We did 1/2 day kayak out to the sea caves and actually ate lunch in one of them. Breathtaking views of the caves, the water and the bald eagles!
