Very nice!

A very nice, little park to hike and have some private moments for your own. There is a parking space outside

Beautiful but somewhat rugged terrain. Get yourself a good pair of hiking boots / shoes. You will see some spectacular views.

We did this climb in October, and the views and colors were absolutely stunning. The trail starts from the large parking lot at one end of devil's lake, and abruptly climbs up the bluffs. Make sure you are physically able to climb/hike steep rocky trails, but if you can you will see numerous vistas that overlook the lake and surroundings.... More

If you like climbing up rock stairs to a high point this is the trail for you. The views from the top are gorgeous. Some of the rocks are slippery so take your time climbing up. We did see one lady slip and injure herself slightly. If you are young or in good shape, I would recommend taking this trail... More

This was a challenging trail off the East Bluff Trail in Devil's Lake State Park. It was near the Devil's Doorway Trail; an area that is used for climbing.

Nice hike for novice hikers but a bit tough walking down to the actual balanced rock. If you have bad knees, I would definitely skip the balanced rock and walk a bit further down the trail to the Devil's Doorway Rock Formation.

From the south campground, this is an interesting trail. It's only .4 mile but it's virtually straight up the bluff on rock 'stairs'. Once you are at the top, the views are grand and the trail branches off to other sights.

This is a steep short hike with nice views but it's very easy to Miss the balance rock. We went up the trail 2x. The first time we got to the top and had missed it. It it 1/2 way up the trail to the right of the trail as you ascend. The trail is steep and fun.

The trail was all rocks at a steep incline. Some folks were in flip-flops but I would not recommend it. Rocks are well traveled and slippery. A stunning view when you reach the summit.

Your quads going up and your knees coming down will get a good workout. The steps are steep and about knee-high at times. Not for everyone. Steep drop-offs to the side, rocks slippery at times, be very careful!! We only went halfway up because it was crowded because of long weekend and we didn't want to risk a fall /... More
