What a great location this is for hiking. Everything from Easy to Really hard. Views from the top of the bluffs totally worth the effort, especially on the CCC trail. Not for the weak of heart. Easier climb up on other trails. One thing...Take a MAP! Trails can be confusing, many in our group got lost. Either way everybody got... More

Hiked this as a Boy Scout over 30 years ago, and still love it. Just enough climbing to make it adventurous, but you can make it a complete challenging, but not exhausting day trip. The scenery is gorgeous; I love it best in the Fall - colors are amazing.

Hiking the East Bluff Trail was very enjoyable and afforded some wonderful vistas and views. You can easily spend most of a day hiking and exploring.

Visited Memorial Day weekend and although very crowded as was to be expected, we had a good time. We just visited for the afternoon, we were able to stake out a nice space on the North beach front, we arrived around 11 am and we were already on the furthest parking lot available--by the time we left, you were told... Walk, hike, run around the shore, the cliffs (BE CAREFUL!) and more. hike the many many miles of hiking trails....from easy to difficult,... More

Best hidden secret in the state of Wisconsin! Camping, fishing, swimming, exploring, hiking, walking trails, you simply must see it to appreciate it! You will not regret this visit as a family. Daily State Park fee of $7 for in-state vehicles or $10 for out-of-state vehicles. The sites and views from atop the bluffs are breath taking. Be sure to... More

My grand daughter and I decided to take a little day trip to Baraboo to the Circus World Museum. Afterwards, I decided to do some exploring. Traveling on many winding country roads I saw a sign for "Devils Lake" Followed the signs and entered thru to gates to paradise! They have everything you need to enjoy a day at Devils... More

I visited Devil's Lake State Park the first mild weekend of the season this year, in late March. Parked on the North Shore and hiked a loop around the lake including the East Bluff Trail, Balanced Rock Trail, Boardwalk, and Tumbled Rocks Trail back to my car. Challenging for an out of shape hiker like me, but I quite enjoyed... More
