This is a gorgeous state park. Many years ago I did my long hike here as I was earning the Hiking merit badge on my way to Eagle Scout. I have visited this park many times in the years since. A beautiful lake for boating, albeit a little cool for swimming. If you are a birder, you will go nuts... More

Devils lake is beautiful to visit year round and a must see if you are in the area. Plan on a day to hike the trails and see the sights of rock formations and bluffs. Plenty of camping available.

I have been going to Devil's Lake for decades. It has great hiking and swimming, the nature center and naturalists are wonderful, and the bathrooms are cleaned daily. But. This year was the first time we camped on a weekend and never again. The music was horribly loud, and different campsites tried to drown each other out. As soon as... More

Adequate spots to move over on the trail to allow people to pass. We packed a lunch in our packs and 32 oz of water was plenty until we reached... More

Devils Lake is an annual trip for us. It is a long drive from where we live but it is worth it. Anything you like to do outdoors, hiking, rock climbing, fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, camping, even stand up paddle boarding, is available there. It is a great place for all ages. The trail around the lake is a nice... More

Imagine a lake with no motor boats. Just canoes, kayaks and paddleboards. It's so peaceful and serene. Hiking the bluffs is awesome, the views amazing. Top notch campgrounds too. Love this place!
