LOVE this park. The water is perfect, plenty of beach areas. One note: I highly recommend shoes be worn into the water because there is lots of rocks that hurt to walk on barefoot, but it is so worth it. Beautiful backdrop scenery, snack bar, changing areas, grassy or sandy beach. One of our favorite lakes in Wisconsin.

Devil's Lake has been a favorite of Wisconsin locals for over 100 years. There used to be a hotel there that was built in the 1800s that was unfortunately tore down decades after it was built when tourism became slow. Pictures of the historic landmark have survived and can seen at the park shop. I don't like how crowded it... More

This hidden gem is absolutely beautiful! You have no idea what you are driving into as you head into this State Park then all of the sudden it opens up to a beautiful lake with cliffs and trees surrounding you. The hiking is fantastic with some of the most gorgeous views as your reward! This is one of my all... More

Personally, I refer to Devils Lake State Park as "Wisconsin's Crown Jewel!" Granted, there are many magnificent places in the United States and across the globe, many more spectacular - in their own way. None-the-less, Devil's Lake is a pristine treasure in the mid-west. Quartzite boulders, bluffs, hills, and hiking trails allow for breath-taking views from many vantage points. Swimming... More

This park is quite good with a good scenic view. Especially during fall colors this place looks awesome, it has a restaurant, and you can also enjoy some snacks while roaming.

We live near Devil's Lake and go there very often. You do have to be careful on the trails on top of the bluffs but the west side lower trail is easy. The entire park, from the entrance on the north or the south, is stunning.
