Devils Lake is an annual trip for us. It is a long drive from where we live but it is worth it. Anything you like to do outdoors, hiking, rock climbing, fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, camping, even stand up paddle boarding, is available there. It is a great place for all ages. The trail around the lake is a nice... More

Imagine a lake with no motor boats. Just canoes, kayaks and paddleboards. It's so peaceful and serene. Hiking the bluffs is awesome, the views amazing. Top notch campgrounds too. Love this place!

This is one of my favorite places in all of Wisconsin. I grew up in Wisconsin and have been to this park many many times. I have hiked most of the trails, camped in the campgrounds, bouldered in the boulder fields, climbed the cliffs, taught rock climbing, dived the depths of the lake and swam in the crystal clear water.... Yes, Devil's Lake is a beautiful area, but it has been spoiled. Our group of 3 families (with 4 children age 2-5) just spent 3 days there. This is a fun place to spend with a friend or with the whole family. Lots of things to do like swim, a picnic or just even to walk around the lake. You can even just sit in one of the gigantic rocks and feel how peaceful the place is. I will surely go back to this pkace...

We visited the part on the Sunday of a holiday weekend. The weather was great, so of course we expected it to be crowded, but the North Shore parking lots were already full at 11am. There was a small sign to this effect when we were already past the turnoff for the South Shore. So we wasted 20 minutes winding... More
