I've been here multiple times and every time I enjoy myself. Camping is really enjoyable here you have a decent sized campsite and if you bring a friend its lots of fun! I didn't enjoy the showers though... Not exactly clean and kind of a pain because you have to hold down the button for it to stay on. Hiking... More

We were at Devil's Lake State Park on 10/21 and the colors were still beautiful. We did a bit of the West Bluff Trail (maybe a half a mile) and then headed back to our car. Our original plan was to do the loop with the West Bluff Trail & the Tumbled Rocks Trail but it wasn't the warmest day... More

Not to be missed if you are in the area. Bring a picnic lunch, or buy one at the park. The colors in the fall are especially wonderful.

Our family has been to Devil's Lake State Park many times, but the best time to go is in late September or October when the color is at it's peak. There are so many parts of the park, you do not need to just go where the crowds are. You can camp, picnic, climb, hike, fish & just lounge around.... More

Devils Lake is a unique park. It is part of the National Ice Age National Scientific Reserve and is also a State Park, which means either a National Park pass or a State Sticker can be used. I've been going here since I was a child. I love to hike the trails, walk the railroad ties, and climb up the... More

The lake is gorgeous, the hiking paths are extremely well maintained. I appreciate how clean it's kept, in spite of the overwhelming number of visitors during the summer months. Rangers are over-eager to write tickets (most are fresh out of Police Science school, I swear!) and will literally plant themselves near your campsite and watch for infractions. (and no, I've... Beautiful park with so much to do! The fall colors were gorgeous. Had not been to the park since I was maybe 6 years old. My son went on a rock climb with Apex Adventure Alliance while at the park. Can't wait to come back in the spring for more hiking, climbing & plan to bring the paddle boards to... More

This state park is spectacular. I am so lucky to live a short 90 min drive. Balanced Rock trail up to the top bluff is worth the burn. Views, especially in the fall are breathtaking. Can't wait to return and camp next time!

This is a area with great hikes. The beaches on the lake are well populated during summer months (Little activity during my visit). It is also one of the premier area for rock climbing. It is a crowded area. The cost is $10 per day, but you can use your National Park pass.

This is a great state park with something for everyone who enjoys the outdoors. Prettiest, by far, in the fall with the changing leaves. It GLOWS YELLOW in the woods at peak! We hiked around the lake. Took us 1/1/2 hours. South side hike has RR tracks. Bleh. Wish they'd put in something of a trail here. North side offers... More
