Devils Lake is truly one of the most beautiful state parks in Wisconsin. If you are considering camping, please take into consideration the State Park Rangers. I have never experienced such annoying rangers before. Apparently we must have stayed during a "slow time" because we received their full attention. Every night they parked their pickup truck a few campsites away... More

My friends and I decided to spend a few hours here to hike the trails. There is a 7.00 fee to park your car. We really enjoyed it here. You could spend as much time as you want here depending on how long you want to hike. We ended up hiking on two trails and doing about 3 miles overall.... More

I have been to the dells area many items and never made it to this treasure. It cost $10 for a day pass and the best money we spent on vacation! We were looking for dog friendly ideas since we were vactioning with our pets and found out you can bring them here. The lake was perfect for swimming, both... More

Did an 8 mile mountain bike in the state park today and had more fun than I expected. The MTB trail is shared with hikers and somewhat limited but still technical enough to have fun. Some of the hills are steep enough for me. The route is not indicated as good as it could be but I had a great... More

Covered a lot of vertical ground. Nice kayaking. Ball room dancing Saturday night to a live band. We enjoyed it.

This is an awesome hiking area with Devil's Lake in the center of it. Its 5 miles if you do both sides around the lake. For a shorter hike you can do one side and follow the path along the water. Pack a snack and sit at the top for a bit. Great way to get exercise and tire out... More

Swimming, picnicking, climbing, walking paths- there is enough here to fill your day. We enjoyed a great day with family. Can't get bored here- you can be as active (or inactive) as you wish. Without a pass you will pay a $10 entry fee.

If you're training for triathlons or other swims, this is the best lake around. It is 1.25 miles wide which makes a round-trip swim very Ironman friendly. On weekend mornings in the summer, there will commonly be 50+ athletes there to train for Ironman. The water temp in the middle of summer is perhaps 72 -- perfect with or without... More

If you like camping then this is the place you want to be. Amazing hiking trails and spectacular views around every corner. The beach is a perfect place to cool off on the hot days. My family and I had a great campsite and we enjoyed having the little store nearby for anything we forgot to bring with us. We... More

I am an avid camper, and have been camping all over the state of Wisconsin. Devil's Lake State Park is absolutely the best park if you like camping/hiking. They have some of the best hiking trails for beginners, extreme adventurers, and everyone in between. The views are breathtaking from the top of the bluffs. The beach is great, especially later...
