Devil's Lake State Park has it all - a nice beach (2 of them) that has a full snack bar and clean bathrooms, excellent hiking, and spectacular views. The park employees were helpful, parking was plentiful, and the trails leading up to the bluffs were very well marked. I camped there a long time ago and thought it was great... More

My family (husband/wife 7 year old daughter and twin 4 year old boys) had a blast at this park!! We started with the Tumbled Rocks Trail which was beautiful and an easy warm up for my kids. We transferred from there to the West Bluff Trail which was difficult for my kids but with several breaks they made it just... More

Devil's Lake is a beautiful natural lake with no noisy motorboats. Visitors can enjoy the beach, rent a boat, enjoy treats at the historic snack shack, and hike the picturesque trails and bluffs. It's a great place to spend the afternoon or camp overnight. Lovely in all seasons.

From rock climbing to hiking to swimming and water spots, this place makes you feel like you're away from the flat Midwest. If you want to camp, book early because it's likely full.

Just drove through briefly, didn't see anything worth exploring further. Locals seemed to use the swimming and picnicking facilities.

This lake is much smaller than Mirror Lake but it has much more to offer. There is a good sized beach, kayak rentals, food stands, a concessions building with food, a gift shop and decent bathrooms. There is also a Nature center. There are two access areas. The north area has all the above. The south area is mostly just... More

Great hiking . Trails are all levels of difficulty . Great pic opportunities on the bluffs. Lake is very clean. Kayaks and canoes available . My wife and I rode in on a motorcycle. We asked the north end if we could rent a locker or keep our helmets and gear somewhere . They told us "no can do "... More

Love Devil's Lake. The lake it breathtaking, and the tumbling rocks around it are absolutely gorgeous. The hiking is great for those who like a challenge, and those who like a more basic trail. There are kayaks, canoes and paddle boats to rent by the hour for use on the lake. There are clean and well-maintained campgrounds. We come at... More
