there are unbelievable hills of huge tumbled rocks that land in a clear lake. somehow trees grow through the rocks so it's nice and shady. the buildings, shelters and lawn look like a setting from the godfather movie...maybe built in the thirties from stone. there's a sandy beach and playground. even though it was a nice warm june day, it... If you want a place to camp, fish, hike, swim, walk, bike and relax, this is the place to visit! Take the hike to the top of the bluff for a view you will never forget. We go every year and book 11 months in advance for the following year. Go you won't regret it.

Arrived on a crisp and clear morning with a cold breeze. Took the Tumbled Rocks Trail, one mile hike along the shore, it was sheltered from the wind, sunny enough to be warm even with the breeze. The lake and surroundings are beautiful.

We stopped by Devils Lake for a quick family hike (kids 7 & 3) and really enjoyed ourselves. The east bluff trail is easy enough for kids to handle but still gains decent elevation as well as provides some awesome views of the lake along the way. The park seemed well maintained and all other users we ran into were... More

We went to the park with our family, which includes children as young as 1, and adults in their 50s, and we all had a great day. If you take the hike that goes 1.5 miles up the ridge, it's views are fabulous, and then the 1 mile hike back is right next to the lake on a paved path.... More

We went to Devil's Lake for a hike with our teenage kids. We all head a fun hike in a beautiful setting. We took the East Bluff trail and then the East Bluff Wood Trail. The hike was strenuous, but not too hard for parents and kids alike. Beautiful views all along. The woods trail was away from the lake,... More

The trails at this park are fabulous. If you've never been here, this place is a must see. I learned to scuba dive in this lake.

Pack a picnic and enjoy the beach. The water is clean. We loved taking a walk around the basin. The grandkids climbed the rocks and didn't even break anything. It was great.

My wife and I travel here a couple times a month to hike, swim, snorkel and in the summer take in the Friday night catered fish fry on the north shore. We love camping here and taking time to hike all the trails. Throw on a pack and hike both bluffs, takes about 2.5 - 3 hours but is a... More
