Love that the big top show is back! It's a great performance with lots of little performances between shows. Lots of history & kids activities. Down side, It is quite an expensive day out. $20 per adult, $10 per kid, elephant ride $10, food....

I have known about the Circus World Museum for many years, but I didn't think it would be worth a visit. But it was my wife's birthday and she wanted to go --- so we went. And I loved it. The performance in the Big Top Tent (every day at 11:30 and again at 3:30) made me feel like a... More

My husband wanted to go here, and Si went under duress as I had no real interest, and I'm so glad we went. We all loved it. The place is full of history, and the displays were so interesting. The volunteers made sure we went to the illusion show which was fantastic. We also loved the show under the big... More

The grounds and attractions here are all very well maintained & wow the historic buildings full of things like old circus railroad cars and wagons are amazing! They have a little big top tent and actually put on a "real" live circus show with a variety of animals, balancing acts, live music, clowns, etc. We especially loved the dogs &... More

this was larger than I expected and had some great old circus materials from posters to wagons to train cars. There is an illusion show, elephant rides, pony rides and other events almost all day long. Not inexpensive but worth it.

We went with our kids and grandkids for a weekend adventure. It was probably 30 years ago that we were first there. The facility has been greatly updated but the same charm and character is still there. This time we partook of several guided tours and learned about the Circus Wagons and the Ringling Brothers. It is well done and... More

The information in the museum is intriguing to the adults, boring to the kids. The circus part was surprisingly underwhelming and disappointing. We waited an entire hour in a HOT tent with little circulation for animals - saw some dogs and ponies but the elephants lasted maybe a minute at the end. The acrobats and balancing acts were spectacular, but... More

I am a history buff and the history of Barney and Bailey and the circus business was fascinating to learn. The Museumwas cool although small and outside you can ride an elephant even though I saw the trainer yelling at the poor elephant., but she looked in good health and I didn't see and sign of injury on the elephant.... I have never considered myself a huge fan of circuses, but will say that for the relatively inexpensive entry price this place packs a lot of entertainment and educational value. At a $19 entry fee, you get access to all of the day's shows, the different museum exhibits in each building, and some animal areas. Even if just for the... More

If I could append some photos I took of two female elephants at Baraboo's Circus World in their small, decrepit, and essentially barren enclosure, with no toys and nothing to keep them interested (and no water on a blisteringly hot day that I could see), those would speak volumes. All of Circus World was equally tawdry and sad. On a... More
