There are several very challenging hiking trails that wind along the bluffs of the Mississippi that provide spectacular views. For those not up to hiking, a road leads to one of the best overlooks and picnic areas. There are also "star parties" each month May - October where local astronomy enthusiasts share their knowledge and their telescopes. Definitely worth the... More

Beautiful vistas from the top of a bluff of the surrounding bluffs, confluence of the Mississippi and Wisconsin Rivers, railroad and river bridges. Hiking trails down to the river. Short and long wooded hiking trails, easy and more difficult. Campgrounds. There is a one hour $5.00 fee for those traveling through not wanting to spend longer times.

Well i've read some of the reviews and everyone seems to really love this park, the only thing that upsets me is that we will be camping in Homestead, and another review said that the bathrooms are closed cause they are being worked on and you have to ride to the other camp ground to shower:(Well we will see how that goes,... My husband surprised me with an anniversary trip to Wyalusing State park. It was even more beautiful than I anticipated. We spent a night camping on the ridge. Very well kept park, free showers were clean and hot. We had coffee in the pavilion during a storm.

My boyfriend and I camped here over a weekend in August 2014. Our site was # 243 in the Homestead Campground. This state park is a really good size.. there are two separate campgrounds in the park. Homestead seemed more private, then there is the Wisconsin Ridge Campground which has many sites right on the bluff overlooking the river. We... More

Camped in site 137, on the bluff. What an amazing view and a clean site to stay. Well worth the $12 a night at this state park. Plenty of things to do at the park and surrounding area!

We have gone to this park for the last 3 years over the fourth of July. The last 2 years the river leaves have had an affect on water activites. Doesn't stop us! There are plenty of hiking and biking trails.. The camp is great. If you want a view, camp on the ridge. You over look the WI river.... More

We made a quick side trip to Wyalusing State Park about 5 miles south of Prairie Du Chien, we didn't have much time to explore the park fully but discovered that it offers many hiking trails, picnic grounds and a point to view the confluence of the wisconsin river with the Mississippi river. It's a view to die for. I... More

From madison We only trekked on one trail, Mississippi is flooding now. But the view to see the wisconsin & Mississippi together awesome. The park is huge, and so close to lots of history.

My wife and I spent two days at Wyalusing State Park. We did not camp at the campground but spent time hiking the trails and kayaking in the river. The camp is located on the bluffs of the Mississippi River in South Western Wisconsin. Many of the vistas from the campsite overlook the Wisconsin River delta where it joins the... More
