Smaller zoo, so it's perfect for younger children. Since it is smaller, felt more "interactive" than larger zoos. Our young daughter loved the train ride. We got the caboose & a zebra chased right at us. Our little one screamed (half thrilled/half fright, ha!). Kangaroos were out & about. Boys seemed to love the dinosaur exhibit.

Oglebay Park Good Zoo used to be called Good Children's Zoo when we moved to Wheeling in 1979. That is how I think of the zoo, as more of a Children's zoo, mainly because it is a smaller size zoo, not comparable to San Diego, Pittsburgh, or other large zoos. But, despite its size, the Good Zoo is a lovely... More

We visited the Good Zoo this week with our granddaughter. We had not been there in 25 years. The sad news is that there has not been any improvements in that time. Everything is run down, there are hardly any animals; it's sad. A lot of walking and not much to see. The inside exhibit smelled so badly that we... More

We are members of the zoo program and have visited many other zoos beyond this one. First, it was much cheaper to buy our zoo membership here than the Pittsburgh Zoo. This entitles is to 50% off admission to many zoos nationwide. They were having an Easter egg hunt and we found that to e worth the $4.95 we paid... More

Our adult children came to visit us over the Thanksgiving holiday. We were looking for things to do that were inside and this fit the bill. Luckily for us, the weather was beautiful so we were able to go outside and see the sights as well! This zoo is geared more for younger children, but we still enjoyed our visit... More

This is the place to go if you love a zoo but hate all the walking. It isn't huge but the animals are unique and easy to see. For an added fee the animal encounters are something you will never forget.

We expected it to be a small little thing, not many animals, ect but we couldn't be more wrong. There were real zoo animals, bears, ect. and the animals came right up to the window so we got a very close look

Fun little zoo right on the grounds. The trolley goes right by there and you can get off and on as you choose. A great option for families with kids or anyone who enjoys a zoo.
