Small enjoyable zoo

Feeding the lorikeets is a blast! Bring quarters so you can feed the goats! We knew this was a small zoo but it had a lot of activities and wasn't crowded! Our kids loved playing vet, doing puzzles, and all the other fun activities set up in the main building. I just wish it opened earlier...it was so hot by... More

Buy nectar at the shop and feed the Lorikeets. It's awesome. Train was broken while we were there but looked cool. They also had a model train room that rocked. Nice place to spend an 60-90 minutes. African dogs were different too.

The train ride was not very good however we did get to see a Zebra up close. The barnyard animals was a disappointment. We expected to see barnyard animal instead we saw a donkey and pony and an armadillo The people that worked at the park were not friendly at all. Do not recommend this place at all.

We are sorry that your recent visit to the zoo was so disappointing. While our barnyard collection is small it may be larger than you experienced as you missed our goats, llamas, barn owls and demonstration beehive. Your experience with our staff was equally disturbing. It is difficult to make amends for such inexcusable behavior but we would love to... More

A small fairly diverse experience easily walked in a couple of hours. Also short tour by miniature train is available. Zoo keepers are available and ready to answer questions. Small farm exhibit with chickens, goats (ready to relieve visitors of snacks from dispensers next to the fenced-in area.

We visited the Good Zoo with our 5 year old. If you are expecting a large zoo on the order of the Pittsburgh Zoo, you will be disappointed. The Good Zoo is small, with an emphasis on seeing and feeding the animals. We arrived early and especially enjoyed the lorikeets. The zookeeper working and the interns were especially nice. Who... I took my 3, 5 & 7 year old grandchildren here for the afternoon. They had a great time. There is not that many animals but the petting zoo and train ride made up for it. They especially loved the "animal hospital" where they could be pretend veterinarians and bandage up the stuffed animals and make them feel better. Its... More

2015 made for yet another fantastic ZooBrew event. We have attended this event for multiple years and every year it gets better. The beer was of course wonderful, but the food was exceptional this year. It was a real treat this year to be able to watch throughout the evening how beer is made and talk with the brewers. Of... We are Wheeling locals and have been enjoying the Good Zoo for years. My children have never missed the annual Easter event, or Boo at the Zoo. It's a wonderful zoo for adults and kids of all ages - a playground, indoor and outdoor exhibits, a train ride, lots of benches if you need a break, Christmas lights and laser... More

This was our second time to this event and we enjoyed a lovely evening of wonderful food and beer samplings. The music was GREAT! We really enjoyed the availability of interaction and education about the animals. Although it was difficult to pick just one favorite animal that evening the sloth had to be my favorite. The evening had the potential... More

Nice well kept small town zoo. Great selection of animals. Lots of hills and walking though. Take the golf cart shuttle of older or have small children. Awesome train ride and train model set up . Worth a stop. Prices are just right too.
