We happened upon the Purple Fiddle on a road trip a couple of years ago. What a great place! We were there in early October so the leaves were just starting to change so the surrounding countryside was very pretty and scenic. The Purple Fiddle overlooks a river in what appears to be a ghost town. We found it because... More

During our four day stay in Davis, we hit up the Purple Fiddle twice for lunch. Jason Ring entertained the crowd with a variety of instruments and people of all ages enjoyed his music. They have a few sandwich options and some daily specials too. My wife really enjoyed the chili and grilled cheese and I would recommend the turkey,... More

This place is so great. Literally, we live in Malaysia and only get to go here every other summer, but we talk about it all the time. It's the easiest place for live music we have ever found. Such variety of artists, great foods &desserts, decorations, the list goes on. Amazing place. My mother in law also stayed at the... More

Great wraps and soups Music almost every night. Good beer. Cool atmosphere and garden seating for warm weather. I live here and eat there at least twice a week. Love the Wild Turkey Wrap and Humus veggie.

Had the pleasure of spending a Saturday afternoon here listening to the very talented Kris Scott. Enjoyed the wonderful coffee house atmosphere so much that I came back to hear Kris on Sunday. Don't miss out on the Ice cream as well. A real treat!

Food was good, beer selection ok, music, not web site accurate, but excellent, and atmosphere great. The locals, obviously on a bike route, were comfortable. All groups of guests were welcome: ice cream, beer, sandwiches, wine, and music for every age.

The Purple Fiddle should be on every traveler's itinerary when visiting the Mountain State. This establishment features live music in a unique setting in the ghost town of Thomas.
