My boyfriend and I visit Snowshoe every year for the chili cookoff and one of the things we look forward to is taking the lift down to Shavers Lake, and then riding the lift back up, and then taking the lift down again, and then back up... We just like riding the lift a whole lot. We only visit Snowshoe... More

This trail was beautiful. It was like going through a fairy tale forest and expecting to see a gnome or two. Very scenic and easy to hike. Afterwards, you can snack at the Boathouse. It was summer so we could ride Ballhooter Lift down to the lake and back.

It's not that it's a bad trail... it's just that there are so many amazing trails to explore in nearby Monongahela National Forest.
