During Bridgeweek in October the water was running high. Our party has 4 kids about 10 to 12 years and it was decided the river was too dangerous. My kids threw a fit and accused me of sabotaging everything. I was willing to take the wrath of my spoiled kids and keep them alive. The owner was extraordinarily generous refunded... More

My friend and I came to WVa to go skiing, but a lack of snow made that somewhat difficult. We decided instead to go ziplining through AOTG. It was a very nice substitute. The team was very personable and funny, filling the lulls with fun conversations. They strapped us in and gave some safety guidelines before marching us down to... More

We spent a weekend here to do stand-up paddle board and rafting. My wife and I had a great time as did our boys. The boys also did the obstacle course for a few hours and had a blast. Our guides were professional and fun. They made sure everybody was having a great time and answered any questions we had.... More

The Gauley river is an amazing adrenaline rush. To me the excitement out weighs the dangers. My group request Kevin as our guide every year because of his ability to hit the big stuff while being in control.

We had a great experience with Adventures on the Gorge. It was very easy to make the reservation for lodging as well as activities. Every person we encountered was more than helpful and friendly. We hiked for hours and one view was better than the next. Our cabin (Sunnyside Suites) was amazing and more gorgeous views from the deck. We... More

Campground is AWESOME! We loved the dining - Smokey's has excellent meals. Zip-lining was exciting and provided a great view over the tree tops with fall colors. We originally booked the Upper Gauley, however chickened out and went with the lower. Even though we had rafted numerous other rivers the Upper sounded scary. The Lower Gauley was beautiful and even... More

We had such a great time with the family there this past weekend! Having older kids now, being together is few and far between! We had yummy burgers right on site over looking the gorge when we first arrived. The waitress was so pleasant and friendly. Recommended we walk the trail. So glad we did! What a view of the... More

A visit to Adventures on the Gorge is a MUST for anyone wanting to experience a true slice of authentic West Virginia. The mountainous views are lovely, and the atmosphere is very relaxed, whether for individuals, couples, or families. Smokey's on the Gorge has some of the best cuisine around - the salads are very fresh, ingredients are high end,... More
