I've always wanted to expand my intermediate whitewater rafting experience & this was definitely the place to go. Our river guides had 13 & 10 years experience collectively & were great at telling us exactly what to do when things got a bit 'wild'! I can't wait for the next step up to the Gauley in the Fall! What a... More

My husband and I thought zip lining would be an exciting and fun activity, and we were right! AOTG brought in a company that takes care of the trees they use for the course. The canopy tour showed us a view of something more interesting than just sky and the green of trees. We sailed over a couple of creeks,... More

Did the lower new river full day... Was extremely nervous, but thought I could do it! Our guide Margaret was awesome... Went thru a few small rapids... Coming up on the class 3 before lunch and when the boat went down, I went forward and the guy in front of me came back with his fist holding his ore and... More

Our office group did the Gravity Zip Line tour as a team building session, and it was the bomb! Best zip line experience ever - fastest and highest. Planning to return with my husband soon. Everyone should try it at least once.

We went white water rafting on the Lower New river on July 6 and loved it. It's not cheap, but when you figure that you are on the river most of the day and it includes lunch, it's worth it. The water wasn't flowing super fast so our trip wasn't quite as exciting as we would have liked but we... More

Our group of 5 ranged in age from 25 to 65. We had a thrilling ride on the lower New River, which was running fairly high for August due to recent rains. The guides are good, and the food served at lunch is tasty and satisfying. It was a great day in a very scenic location.

We get together every year with my partner's brother and sister-in-law, alternating between Las Vegas where we live and W Virginia where they live and always branch out beyond the local sights. This year we headed to the New River Gorge for two days. The two-bedroom cabin we rented was just perfect, fitted with towels, sheets, and full kitchen. We... More

My family and I have done the Tree Tops canopy tour zip line two times. The guides are very knowledgeable and make sure you are safe at all times. Zip lines go from tree to tree. Each tree has a platform to land on. Our tour lasted about 2.5 hours. The view from the trees are beautiful. Makes for a... More

Camped on site with my boys, 14 and 17 and had an amazing time. Rafting the lower new river the first day, rock climbing and rappelling the second day, canopy tour the last day with some fishing and hiking in between. The guides for the trips were all great and made the adventures even better. Bring cash to tip them...remember... More

We had such a great time at this resort. We ran the family trip down the lower river. The white water was great but there were long quiet parts In between that my 9 year old was a little bored but my 12 year old loved it all. The trip lasted a good part of the day and we had... More
