Thanks for inviting our scouts out for an evening hanging out in the TimberTrek park area. My boys, 9 and 10yo, LOVED every single minute, even the "cliff hanging" moments! I, being a bit older, was a bit more taxed by the end, but still...it was worth the challenge. Definitely recommend being adventurous for the older soul, but it was... More

We enjoyed our visit to Adventures on the Gorge, but did not realize that everything would be shut down, including the restaurants during our stay. The season doesn't begin until April, and then everything is open and there are many things to keep you busy. We did enjoy the nice cabin (Fayetteville Station) and the hot tub, and plan to... More

Adventures on the Gorge was the Perfect place for our wedding. My husband and I both knew the day we visited the venue for a tour that it was where we wanted to get married. Our Event Coordinator, Jessica, was was a joy to work with and helped to make the big day, and the days leading up to it,... More

Three friends and I spent a weekend at Adventures on the Gorge for a bachelor party. We booked a trip down the Lower New River in the smaller raft and Kevin was our guide. I've been down the river a few times and this trip was by far the best. Kevin was and incredible guide and we had an incredible... More

We loved the cabins. We stayed in the deluxe cabin with loft. It was great for our 5 & 9 year old. Being able to go hiking at the gorge was great. Not far from the cabins is a small waterfall and tons of rocks to climb on. We also visited the winterplace ski resort and even though it is... More

Thanks for your feedback about Adventures on the Gorge! Kids always love the lofts. Not sure if it is just a secret hideaway game or what, but they are always a hit. Our deluxe cabins are definitely great for families. Multiple bedrooms. Full kitchen. The hot tub doesn't hurt either. Winterplace is one of our partners since skiing isn't offered... More

My husband and I went with our 5 month old baby and a few friends. We called on a Wednesday to book the weekend. Customer service was super accommodating, they were able to find us a cabin, book the rafting trip and massage for the mama. Everyone was super friendly and the place was very clean. We stayed in Sweet... More

Thanks for your feedback about Adventures on the Gorge! I'm always pleased to hear our guest services staff is so accommodating. It's certainly what we aim for them to be. We also aim to have very clean cabins. Our housekeeping staff works long hours to ensure this so I'm happy for the positive report. Bridge Day is an event like... More

Rafting down the Lower New River was AWESOME!!!! Our guides were Wayne-o and Jim-bo. They had a story to tell about every rapid and even had some stories about the scenery. The lunch they served half way down the river was pretty good as well. I never saw myself as an adventurer, but this trip definitely changed my mind. Plus... More

Thanks for your feedback about Adventures on the Gorge! You aren't the first guest who didn't initially see themselves as an adventurer, but realized by trip's end that's what you were all along. Outdoor activities, such as whitewater rafting, have a way of revealing this characteristic. If you loved the New River, be sure to check out the Gauley River... More

We visited AOTG with our 2 teenage boys for some adventurous fun! We did the gravity zipline and the Lower Gauley whitewater rafting; both of which were fabulous and I would highly recommend! It was very cold on the water when we rafted so we had to rent wetsuits and then we decided to also buy booties and warm hats.... More

Thanks for your feedback about Adventures on the Gorge! I think you picked the perfect activities for introducing your boys to West Virginia's outdoors. The Lower Gauley is considered intermediate so there's still room to grow plus Gravity offers all the speed and heights teenagers surely enjoy. Be sure to check out the Upper Gauley in the fall or the... More

We visited AOTG to do the Treetop Zipline Tour the last weekend of September and had a fantastic time. The weather was perfect. I wasn't really sure what to expect after ziplining in the Smokies however, our tour at AOTG far surpassed our experience in the Smokies. The tour had the perfect amount of walking and zipping. The guides were... More

Thanks for your feedback about Adventures on the Gorge! I am pleased to hear you enjoyed TreeTops Canopy Tour as much, if not more, than previous experiences. It is a unique activity: all the thrills of ziplining while surrounded by the tranquility of nature. If you enjoyed TreeTops, be sure to check out Gravity Zip Lines or TimberTrek Aerial Park.... Rafting on the Upper Gulley was an extremely thrilling ride while being surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in North America. If you want to enjoy something like that while being led by one the most beautiful, well educated, and coolest women on the planet, then pick Margaret as your guide! What an awesome trip!

Thanks for your feedback about Adventures on the Gorge! You sure do know how to flatter a girl. Margaret is a great raft guide who isn't intimidated by the very technical aspects of the Upper Gauley. Remember you can request to have her as the guide on your next trip. Thanks again for your feedback. All comments, whether positive or... More
