I have been to AOTG many times, and have been more than satisfied every time. It's a friendly, fantastic resort with all you need to fulfill your adrenaline cravings. My friends and I rafted the Upper Gauley. All of the guides are seasoned experts (request Steve Campbell! He's a LEGEND!) that take you to the extreme while keeping you safe.... More

Adventures on the Gorge continues to exceed expectations. With every trip, I continue to be amazed. World class customer service, world class river trips, canopy tours, and beautiful base camp. We had our wedding there 5 years ago and I still have people tell me it was the best wedding they've ever been to. Stayed there last night and had... More

Spent the first week of September there camping. Enjoyed white water rafting with an amazing group and wonderful guides. The canopy tour was great with a very fun staff. The worst part of our trip was we had car trouble but the manager, Bruce, and staff were incredible. They gave us a name of a very good and honest mechanic... More

Among one of the best "raftings" in the world, with very well trained guides, safe and a great adrenaline rush activity for those who seek outdoors sports. The season starts on first week of September when the dam water is released, increasing substantially the speed and amount of water. Therefore increasing the level of difficulty. The one day trip includes... More

My family of 9 did the Upper New River Family Trip, an all day trip in one person duckies. While many would not consider it high adventure rafting, the individual duckies made for a fun time on the river and the smaller rapids a bit more challenging as we controlled the boat. And for those who are not daring at... More

This was my first experience with Adventures on the Gorge, having previously booked and stayed with Songer Whitewater (who has merged with Adventures on the Gorge). What I loved about this outfit. 1. They offer a 10% military discount on our trip....this was great and gave us a credit on our account that we used toward food and shopping! Make... More

Thanks for your feedback about Adventures on the Gorge! We truly appreciate your thoughtful post. It's always nice to read such lengthy responses from our guests. I'll try to cover all of your points. LOVE: 1. Shouldn't everywhere offer a military discount? We tend to think so. I think it's the least we can do for a guest who has... More

We stayed two nights in one of the new Sunnyside rooms - very nice king size bed, couch and mini kitchen. Walk in shower and radiant floor heat. No daily room cleaning but plenty of towels and coffee. Nice private deck looking into the woods. We did a full day rafting of the New River Gorge. Our guide, McFly, did... More

I love this place. I came here with a group to go rafting and we had a blast. The facilities are very nice, and the staff is super friendly. And the rafting is just awesome! Our raft guide was super friendly and funny. I would definitely recommend coming here for rafting or for some other activity they offer!
