We took a trip today 7/9/14. Our raft included 8 people and our awesome guide Amanda. We had a blast! The river and weather was perfect and tons of fun. Our guide was very experienced and made our trip very fun and safe. As for the resort, we can not wait to bring our kids next time. The resort had... More

The staff at AOTG are top-notch! Everyone we spoke with was very knowledgeable and willing to assist. We took the 1/2 day white water rafting experience & it was a blast! No food, but we did get a can of soda. It cost us approx. $140 per person & afterwards, the guides were holding out their hands looking for tips...... More

We did a half day rafting trip. (plenty for us) They provided all the equipment/transportation, instructions, guides, drinks provided for the bus trip back. (about 15min) Guides very knowledgeable and friendly. Can't say anything negative about our experience...The scenery was awesome. We got there early to check in and were pleasantly surprised at all the things they have to offer... More

My husband, two kids ages 11 and 12 decided to go with Adventures on the Gorge for a rafting trip and were so glad we did. We chose the family trip for ages 9 and up and were a little worried it would be too calm but found out very quickly we were in for a fun day. Our guide,... More

This was a family trip with three teenagers and four adults, we did a three day overnight on the New River. Having never camped or been rafting I was a bit nervous but there was no need. Andy was our guide and he was far beyond our expectations, so knowledgable of the area's history and of rafting, he was truly... More

After much research we decided to book a trip to AOTG. We stayed in the Sunnyside Suites Cabin for four nights (three people with two queen beds). The cabin exceeded our expectations and was an excellent option for someone who wants the comforts of home but doesn't need a full size cabin. We did the tree tops canopy zip line... More

This was a great family adventure. The staff was super helpful when planning the weekend and online booking the weekend was easy. From the moment we arrived to the end, everything was easy and relaxing. We did the all-day Lower New River white water rafting on Saturday and the Gravity Zip Line on Sunday. The guides were fun and made... More

The white water rafting on the lower was absolutely incredible! I must confess I was nervous about the class 4 rapids but it was great fun. The day started with a rickety bus ride which included an overview of the day and safety precautions to take. Everyone was given a live vest, helmet, and paddle before boarding the bus. Once... More

We rafted today with AOTG on the Lower New River full day trip. We were staying in the area but not at the AOTG resort. We booked our trip a few days in advance and ate dinner at Chetty's Pub the night before. First, a few words about the resort - we stayed nearby at Hawk's Nest State Park and... More

Adventures is a beautiful facility located above the New River Gorge in WVA. It's a fairly large resort with about every type of accommodation you can imagine, from group tents and pitch your own to very nice one and two bedroom cabins. The main attraction here is tubing, but we went for the flyfishing, which was excellent. The guides there... More
